Get the pilot light changed. Its the only way to stop it, there is a blockage in it and you cant get in the pilot lights to remove them

Heater serial # 3687823 was working fine then just stopped. cant get it to light now

if the pilot lights when held but wont stay lit, the thermocouple is shot, local hardware stores sell universal thermocouples. self explanatory to replace. if even when pressing the button the pilot doesn't light there is a blockage in the gas line or control valve. that needs a pro to fix.

Wall heater stopped working pilot won't relight

Are you out of gas? If it was running and just stopped and the pilot won't light when your pushing the pilot knob, you may have ran out of gas

My water heater won't light. The pilot light works. But, when I try to swtch the pilot to regualr, the flame goes out.

You probably have a defective thermocouple. The thermocouple sits in the flame of the pilot, and the heat generates a small electrical current conducted back to the gas valve, keeping the pilot gas line open after you switch it to the "on" position. That's why you have to manually hold the gas valve depressed (on) during lighting in the "pilot" position, allowing the thermocouple time to heat up enough to generate its current. A defective thermocouple will not generate the holding current.

My dual turbo gas heater will not maintain the pilot flame without the button held.

After lighting the pilot is lite you have to hold the button for approx. one minute and then turn the knob to run, if it goes out look for a clinker ar the pilot is so knock it off, if not there is a adj for the pilot but its probably a bad thermocouple.

Instructions for lighting the pilot can be found on page 10 of this Installation Manual.

Check out this tip for "How to Light Your Hot Water Heater Pilot".

I believe you need to push the knob down as your are turning it to "Pilot". It will not turn unless it is being pushed down. I hope you find this to be very helpful to you, moving forward. :-)

Could be moisture in the gas supply line - get your gas fitter to purge the line at the meter.

Cozy dual sided wall heater

There isn't much to these things, its either the pilot generator or the gas valve. Or maybe both, try the first, then the second.
