Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine the type of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI and WMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is an incompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to a format that your MP3 player uses. After video conversion then copy the video files to your MP3 player using the USB cable from your computer. Click on this link for instructions on converting video files for MP3 players :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5874192-play_videos_mp3_player

SOURCE: i cant put videos on my 4.0 GB mp3.I dont know the video format.

Well first you need the download the sansa media converter. You can probably find it a www.sansa.com. If not google it. There are videos and manuals on how-to get the video onto the mp3 player. a quick lesson here, install, connect the sansa and open/add the videos to the program. Hope this helps. (it is a sansa 4 gb right?)

Just bought an ONN dvd player and will not play burnt dvds. It says it will play DVD-R/RW. Any ideas to why it won't?

Burn your dvds in a proper way. If you burn your dvds as data dvd, it may not work on certain dvd players. Try different software or different PC to burn your dvds. Check the region code of your dvd player & the dvds burnt. They should match. You may find some region-free players.

My asus dvd writer does not make dvd video which play on dvd player

If you're talking about making "Home Video" into playable DVDs it's not because there's necessarily a problem with your DVD-Burner. It's most likely because your home videos are being recorded as .AVI format files. There are some other file formats it could be, but it all boils down to the same problem: the DVDs you make will only play in computers or on the rare chance that you come across a DVD player that plays those formats. The best way to remedy this situation is to buy a program that will convert the files from .AVI to DVD. There are several to choose from. Roxio reportedly has software\programs that will do this. I'm sure that Nero does too. Both companies produce several different versions of "Burning Software" do your research and be sure you buy one that will convert the files for you. There is another one that I've personally used to convert the files and burn the DVDs for me. It's "I'm Too AVI-to-DVD". I know that is an odd name for a program, but it's straight forward in what it's function is. When I used this program to convert the file formats for me and burn the DVDs it literally took several hours to convert and burn about 5GB of video for me. I don't know if Roxio or Nero would be able to do it faster than that. converting file formats can be a lengthy process.

I downloaded a movie on my computer. I burnt the disc and when I put it in the dvd player it says cannot play disc. I have a sony DVD Player. Any thoughts?

The exact model of DVD player matters. Not all models can play a Computer burned disc.
There are several types of DVD
A factory type DVD in DVD format
A burned movie in MPEG format
a burned disc in DivX format.
Etc.
Try burning the disc with a DVD Creator program, not just 'Burn to DVD'. It's not the same thing.

Mine is Sony DVD player..I insert a disc and it says "CAN NOT PLAY THE DISC" and then the player shuts off. The other DVD works fine.

HI,
Check the manuel some DVD Players do not support DVD RW or -R +R formats. When Ifirst put my burned movie in I got the message that the player cant play that format Just ignore that and advance the Video to where the movie is starting then all my burned movies played fine. My Pioneer BD 51 FD does support DVD RW +R -R formats so be sure that you can play burned DVD RW +R -R on your Sony player. I was in Wal Mart the other day and they had some DVD players on sale but on the box it said that they do not play DVD RW +R or -R Burned DVD's so be careful if you do buy another one I went to best buy and found mine. Check first it will save a lot of hassle later. This software works great but it may not play in your DVD Sony Player there is a list here of compatible DVD Players

OR

your disc is scratched or a pirated one

Dvd player only plays some movies

it might be sevral reasons:
1. Check if region code is the same for movies you playing and DVD player
2. If you using video CDs or copyed DVDs, player might be preventing to playback those kind of discs, due to copyright laws or due to different speed settings for DVD player and discks you using (for intsrance you player can playback DVD/CD+R, and you using DVD/CD-R, or mximum allowed playback speed is 16 you using disk recorded at 24, but this is in case you using burned/copied CD/DVDs)
3. Check it lens is durty. For that use CD/DVD lens cleaning disk
($6 in Walmart, if you are in US)
4. Check if movies you are have the same coloring system, i.e NTSC for US
5. Check CD/DVD for scratches, some DVD players can not playback scratched disks
Please kindly let me know if my information was helpfull for you or you need more info
Good Luck
