I bought my daughter a new Tracfone for Christmas, and the ONLY texts she's able to receive are from other Tracfone cell phone owners.
We had NO text message problems with her previous Tracfone (Motorola C139), but the Tracfone tech support is trying to tell me that all of the other cell phone providers out there ((Verizon users, Cellular One users, etc.) must have a block when it comes to any of us trying to text my daughter's LG 600G Tracfone. (Come on!)
There is no problem with any of her outgoing texts, and she did receive ONE text from me with my LG Verizon phone, so any help would be appreciated.
Was wondering if I switched her old number to her new phone ........ would that make any difference?
(Yes, I'm clueless and frustrated.)

go to initial set-up
MASTER CLEAR your phone
your phone ask for your security code
the deafault of security code of motorola is (000000)
but some people change it.
enter your security code. and select ok/yes.
take note: your phone file will be lost'
such as pics., tones, and videos.
after master clear done..
do the same procedure
and select the MASTER RESET.

I suspect that we are talking at cross purposes. Each SIm has the facility to lock/unlock; that is a security feature. Airtime providers also lock their phones, though, and that - I fear - is what you have here.
Which country are you in and which Airtime provider's SIM have you purchased? Has the SIM been activated?
I have dealt with most UK Airtime providers, Vodafone in Italy, Greece and Cyprus, plus Movistar in Spain.

I was having the same problem, I have the v170. I called Tracfone and they gave me a number to enter into my phone. Hope that works!

I can't recieve texts. Only from certain people, these people being nothing special. I don't think it has anything to do with the networks..
Very FRUSTRATED. And exhasperated.
