I turnd the key and every thing went out (no power ) the battery was bone dry so we added water and jumpstarted the van OK good i drove home 1hr. drive, turnd off the van and tried to start it and it did not work. Went to buy a new battery put it in and nothing works yet the battery is fully charged. i don't understand..........
If it works jumping it then the starter is fine. check fusible links to see if one is blown. check all contacts, engine grounds too, for corrosion and clean if necessary.
Testimonial: "Yes did every thing you said and found that the problem was the main relay fuse. must of saved me about $200.00 bucks."
Check main relay and it's fuse.
Get the battery charged outside the car.
You can get it checked and charged free at AutoZone and other shops.
?
?Several cars lately have had the same symptoms, and the problem turned out to be a bad ignition switch.
Since the ignition switch goes directly to the battery, it's worth a check.
Hope this helps.
SOURCE: NO POWER !!! 1990 supra
I had an issue with the smaller wire off the positive battery terminal breaking inside the casing. Damn hard to find! I would suggest giving the wires around the battery a wiggle, and a feel. Could be a loose connection.
SOURCE: I had my car towed
The ignition relay is faulty.
Look into that.

check the battery voltage and make sure your connections are clean and tight.
SOURCE: this problem just started you
sounds like the starter inhibitor switch(stops you from starting the car unless its fully in park)
SOURCE: my 2003 toyota corrolla wont
More than likely it is your starter solenoid. The starter will have to be removed. Here is a link to tell how to get the starter out. http://www.ehow.com/how_6496417_replace-starter-2003-toyota-corolla.html
