Your DVD drive is missing the Burning Program not the driver. I found an update for your windvd software for windows 7 but you probably have to have the full program installed to run the update. Hope this helps.
just update the firmware of the DVD drive from the vendors site...To select the Firmware just type in the name of the drive as displayed in the device manager in the vendors site[HP or the manufacturer of the Drive]...
Does it also disappears in your Device manager? If it also disappears in device manager this could be a driver issue or loose dvd drive. Try to update the driver for the DVD player or try to unseat and reseat the DVD player on the laptop.
You need to install all the drivers that cme with it and try going to the manufacturers website and getting any updated drivers.
You will also have to re-install all the software you used to have. Things such as windows updates, Decoders, DIVX codecs, Any burning software like Nero, Anti Virus and so on.
there is a simple sol to ur problem and even i faced it with my laptop as i have the same laptop. just go on properties of my computer and click hardware on top and then device manager then right click on the yallow missing audio driver and click on update driver this will automatically update ur driver from net
if u dont see the update driver button tthen ull have to install service pack 3 first
u can even download realtek AC97 driver and the update as that is more efficient
updating can take 20-30 min so u have to keep patience
u can update other drivers too like this hope u again listen to the audio from ur com
Well what I do is, update windows. So connect to the internet, go to Start->All programs->Windows Update. You can download all updated drivers. Or if u know what u want, u can type up the name of ur driver. eg. "Sound card drivers".
