I can't get you the full instructions but I can offer some ideas which may help you. When you get into the machine (if the timing is still good) use a white or yellow grease pencil and make a mark across both gears as a reference point... then take a picture. When you start messing with gears it's really easy to get the machine horribly out of time. The reference point and picture will help you keep from getting it so far out of time.
I don't know if this will help you but here is a manual for your machine. I couldn't find an adjuster's manual.
