My aspire ax3400 wont load disks

Are you saying your CD/DvD drive does not read any disks? If so, are you using disks that a friend made (put music on it) or are you using store bought disks (purchased a music cd from a store)? Most computers have problems with disks made by someone else at one time or another.

Click Start/My Computer and look to see if your CD/DvD drive is showing up in the list. If not, that's the problem. Remove the Power Cord, Remove the Case, then remove the two cables that plug into the CD/DvD drive then put them back in securely. Sometimes the drive just needs to be reseated. Now see if the computer see it in My Computer and if it will Read your Disks.

When you boot your machine, look and listen for the CD drive to make a click and the light on the cd drawer comes on for a second or two. That means the drive is recognized by the computer.

If all fails, Maybe your drive is broken and needs to be replaced.

XBOX 360 Makes Grinding noise..

how old is it? that noise is coming from the cd drive it is probably on its way out or is full of dust and dirt, you can clean it yourself but you probably wont be able to fix as they are extremely difficult to work with and you cant just by a new drive as they have special code that link them to the xbox its in if you remove it and put a new one in you will only be able to play dvd as it will not recognise games because the code wont be there

Cd rom makes clicking noise and ejects cd

THis happens because (a) the disk you entered is scratched, or not a recognised format or (b) your cd rom is broken. try insertin another disk. if the problem persists, try cleaning it. if all else fails, buy a new drive.

My sims 2 games wont open. When i put the disk in, it spins and makes the noises that its going to start but never opens. ive checked through "my computer" and the computer is reconising the disk its just...

To verify whether the problem is with your cd drive or with your sims 2 disk, try running a different disk in the drive. If you are successful in opening and running the other disk, then your cd drive is fine and your sims 2 disk is faulty. If you've had the sims 2 disk for a while, it may be scratched.
If the other disk shows the same symptoms, I would suspect that your cd drive is bad and needs to be replaced.

Wont recognise any disk

When you get no disk error, that is usually because of a problem with the optical laser lens that is dirty, faulty or opaque, and will start operating on certain disks better than others.

In that case you will hear disk spinning, whirring and clicking, but the TOC (table of content track at start of CD/DVD will not be read, therefore the error.

Whe this problem is starting you may be able to read only CD, DVD or Blue ray, or for example only DVD-R and not +R , or only to read and not to write and so on. After more prolonged usage , often the unit goes losing the rest of functions, and ends up not reading anything at all.

If instead there is no noise, and disk does not spin at all , then there is a faulty motor, or the motor micro-switch is bad. This situation is far less common than the lens problem.

Try first using a CD/DVD or Blue ray lens cleaner disk to clean the lens. If that does not work you will need to disassemble the drive , and clean lens directly with q tips and isopropyl alcohol, or to replace the CD/DVD lens, or the whole drive unit.

Cd drive

Try having your cd drive cleaned. A cd drive could prevent the cd drive to read the disk properly. The drive noise is normal if the speed of your cd drive is high. Here are some links on how to clean a cd drive:

Here is the link for reducing the speed of the disk (if the sound annoys you):
