Some diswashers have a sump in the bottom with a float switch. If the water level overflows the float will activate the switch which will kill the machine and run the drain pump continuously.

Check for a couple of screws to the left and right of the latch handle. Remove them and the unit should slide out and allow you access... By the way...if they are loose, tighten them first...you may just fix the problem.

I just had this problem (or should I say, finally had the time to deal with it). Google searches revealed different ways to get the door open including repairmen with crowbars (causing replacement of the entire control assembly $$$), having to back out the top screws that hold the dishwasher in place (and to the top of the counter) with pliers, then moving the dishwasher out from the counter.
Nuts to all that.
First things first. Turn OFF the power to the dishwasher.
I wound up on my back first watching how the handle moved and which side seemed to be loose, in my case the right side was moving freely. After first trying to hold the handle in the "down" position with a springhook (to no avail) I wound up biasing the handle to the right (with a screwdriver inserted on the left side of the handle) while moving the handle in the "operate" direction. Suddenly (and without warning) the entire handle assembly moved to the right and created an opening that made it simple to stick a screwdriver up to operate the latch manually.
Four screws later the control panel was out, the offending broken handle assembly was in my hands to discover that they could have easily made the little tabs the hold the handle in place a whole lot sturdier, but let's not go there...
If I had to do the whole thing again it would have taken me less than 5 minutes to open it up I'm sure. Now to simply order the part and install it when it arrives. The best part is we can still run the dishwasher until it gets here!
SOURCE: Dishwasher door won't open, latch seems broken
Hello, I read your comment. If the latch is broken, then I suggest first of all disconect the electricity from the dishwasher. You may want to try using a small screwdriver and insert it where the latch is to activate the opening mechanism. If it doesnt open, then there are two options, I suggest to call the technical service to replace the door with a new latch.
Hope I have been of help.
Regards Nevd ´ll fixya.
SOURCE: Replace bottom door seal on Dishlex Global 300 Dishwasher - Model DX300SA
HI - i just replaced the bottom seal yesterday. The guy at the spares shop advised me to replace both (bottom of door and bigger seal ) at the same time to ensure no leaks - i did that. The bottom door seal come out when you unscrew the screws - (No need to remove door) and because of all the gunk (from years of washing and age of the rubber) i had to wedge a blunt knife in between (starting at one of the ends) and lever it out - MAKE SURE YOU TAKE NOTE OF THE WAY IT IS BEFORE YOU REMOVE IT! An easy way to remember is there is a nick in the rubber of the old (and new) seal and as it is not centred, just note if the nick is closer to the left or right of the machine, I have replaced mine and there is a little leak and now i wonder if i put the seal in upside down! it has to go in the same way - before you gimmy your's out can you tell me if the nick in the rubber is to the left or right? (LIZ at [email protected]) If I have put in back right there is a chance the screw didn't go through the plastic part of the seal and therefore not holding it in place properly. GOOD LUCK! Don't worry about having to really work at getting the old seal out - you don't need it anymore and i didn't damage mine, regards, Liz
