No remotes will work, will not turn on power or volume but changes channels. I've tried original remote and a new one from Suddenlink cable, same result
If you can control the TV by using its front panel controls, and only remote control is not working, the fault may be either to its remote control handset or to the remote sensor inside. The remote sensor is a small component, having only three solder terminals and will look like this.
This is the component inside the TV which senses the infrared rays emitted by the remote control, and convert it to digital signals, and send to the microcomputer section circuit to process. This component can be located just behind the infrared remote window at the front panel of the TV. You have to open the TV to access it, and to replace it. Just check your remote for its infrared emission, before going further. Just get more details about how to check a remote control from this site named 'Electro-help'. Pull up older posts there. Just check this link, and locate the site named above.
Infrared sensor inside the TV will be look somewhat like the picture I've send to you. It is a very small component, will be directly soldered to the printed circuit board, which comes just behind the infrared window at the front of the TV. As I inofrmed you, you have to open the TVs, back cover, unscrew out the board that contains this component, and desolder it out from it, to buy an exact replacement. The second picture with a circuit is only ment for that, this component is conected directly with the main system control IC. It is only for an information.
The component won't cost more. According to my country's cost rate, it will cost around $2. OK.?

If you forget your password you can reset it. Make sure the TV is off. Simultaneously press and hold VOL< on the TV?s front panel and CLEAR on the remote for approximately 5 seconds. Enter a new password next time you access the PARENTAL CONTROL menu. Front Panel Lock 1. From the PARENTAL CONTROL menu, press the up or down arrow to highlight Lock Fr. Panel. 2. Press the right or left arrow to turn on (box has check mark) or off (box doesn?t have check mark) front panel lock. Of course if you don't have a remote that can bring up the menu I don't know how this can be done.

You'll most likely need a Sansui remote made to work with your specific model TV. I have similar problems with my Toshiba TV. Check eBay.

SOURCE: Sanyo DS31590 channel display
I found the solution to this problem . If someone accidentally hits the recall button the display channel will show on the TV screen, To correct this problem hit the Info Button and the display channel will disapear. This works only if you have the standard cable box. I have another TV that uses a dual mode cable box, tried this procedure with analog RCA TV but it didn't work. Don't know if this procedure will work for all display problems, but it worked for me.

This is what I thought was wrong with my TV. I have looked up the part and the number I keep coming up with is 1AA4B10N21600. This is the whole component not just a little part as you have shown. Is this the correct part I need?
