Frozen picture on LG LCD 37"

Hi
My LG LCD suddenly became stuck on one channel. The audio is fine but the picture is frozen. I cant get the TV menu to come up nor can I change channel. It takes a good few seconds to turn off and when I turn the tv back on it takes a few seconds for the picture to appear. The picture is normal for about 2 or 3 seconds then freezes again.
Help?!
Thanks!

Same problem. It freezes up, won't change channels, powers off sometimes, 15 sec after hitting the off button.

Mine has a similar problem. Slow to load one HD channel only and then this freezes after a few seconds and then shuts itself down and starts over. I called tech support and they said it was a problem with signal strength from my cable feed (but this did not happen at all with two other HD TVs with the same cable feed).

I have a similar problem with my unit. One HD channel is slow to load and then freezes after a few seconds. Then the screen goes black and the TV resets itself and the cycle starts again. Other channels are fine. I called Tech Support and they said it was a problem wtih signal strength from the cable feed, however, other HDTV's are working fine with this cable feed.

My television does exactely the same thing! Same model and everything. My tv is set up on the stand and sits in a wooden alcove, my brother offered that it may be something to do with overheating? But sometimes it will happen after watching for 5 minutes when i havent watched the television for a few days, and other times it wont happen when i watch full length movies.

Try One of your working TVS and connect it to your cable outlet of the TV that is having problems. If that TV Does not work then there may be a degraded fitting or the Leg coming of the splitter to that outlet could have a Low Signal Problem
Next Take the First TV that was not working properly and put it on the cable outlet of one of the TVs that is working properly and if the TV set works on that Channel then you know it is not your TV that it must be the cable

Sound on one channel from over the air antenna has suddenly become garbled. All others are fine.

If only one channel is affected it is not a problem usually with the set--it does not know what channel you are on---look in audio menu and make sure if set has SAP it is not on.

My LG LCD TV cant stop changing channels on it own . I ve removed the batteries from the remote but still its changing them on its own

Is it going one way - channel 1-2-3-4-5 bottom to up or any way at random. Find out which way and check the channel button on the TV to see if it is stuck.

TV no sound but pictures ok, changed channels ok

The mts/sap function on your television might be enabled. Locate the audio settings on your television and make sure you are set for either stereo or mono. You may have an audio or mts button on your remote. If not this should be in the menu.

The cable company may have made a recent change and the tv may need to be channel buffered or you may need to complete another channel scan.

Tv suddenly shows no audio and no video for digital channles only yet all digital channles are detected durring the channel search

Sounds like you have a bad signal from the antenna or the cable. Unlike analog TV if the signal level drops below a certain level you loose the picture and sound completely. The fact that digital channels are detected during channel search does not mean they have a good signal. Try moving the antenna about.
