I have a Panasonic sc-xh150 DVD home theater soundsystem I need to hook it up with myc ox cable dvr ,ps3 and LG 42 INCH LED TV#42LN5300 I have no remote for the Panasonic and also won't play DVD

This Panny is a pretty sophisticated home theater (HT) system. It will play music from and control an iPod or iPhone up to 5th generation units in addition to DVDs, CDs, FM radio, and other sources like your PS3, cable DVR, etc. Everything you need to know about setting it up and running it is in the user manual. Go to to download one for free.

Unfortunately this HT has two issues that will affect your ability to use it. First, like most modern systems, you absolutely need a remote to run it. Only the basic controls appear on the main unit. You can buy a $10 "universal" remote and see if that works -- they're available at Walmart, Staples, Home Depot etc under names like RCA, Philips, and Sony. But quite often they only have buttons for running a unit, not for setting it up. If that's the case you'll need the original Panny remote, which is much more expensive. Go to and poke around to find it.

The second issue is what you want to plug into it. It has very limited inputs. There is no HDMI input at all, and no component video inputs, which means you'll have to run a cable from your DVR directly to the TV if you want Hi-Def video. The same holds true for the PS3. Unless your LG TV is ARC-capable, you'll also have to run a separate audio line back to the HT unit to hear the sound from the DVR, the PS3, or TV programs. Not a huge deal if the LG has enough inputs, but kind of disappointing. Good luck.

Check regional code dvds player

That because you are trying to play a disc not meant for your region. These units are not designed to play disks worldwide. For more information, please visit my website at You may contact me directly through the website. Thank you.

My LG LHT764 will play DVD's but that's it. I can't change functions or get any sound out of any of the speakers that cam with it.

Double check the speaker wire connections. Also, change the batteries in the remote. Sounds like a connection problem.

I have an LG LHT764 Theater System and having a problem with the bass. I would like to know how to turn it down..

In the 5.1 Speaker Setup Menu you can adjust each speakers volume from -5dB to +5dB. You can also adjust the distance the each speaker but not for the Subwoofer.

I need to know how do I hook my Apple Ipod to the the system.

It has an iPod 24-pin jack in the back or you could use USB. Refer to the iPod manual.

I need a replacement motor for part # JQ24-351350F. They don't seem to be available anymore. Any substitutes? I know this motor is bad and is the problem for my LG LHT764 DVD player.

I believe it's the spindle motor for your DVD drive. Try the Mabuchi RF-300EA / FA one's, they're mostly used for the same purpose and could be considered as the equivalent.

Connecting an Ipod to JVC TH-M45 System

you can hook up ipod 2 different ways. the one i will use will be with a 3.5 to 3.5 mini plug connection(on both sides of cable it has i.e. head phone jack connection) and then set unit to aux in and that will give you sound from ipod. another way is with red and white audio cables to 3.5 mini plug connection. connect red and white to audio in on back of unit, and then set unit to that source.
