My LG LHT764 will play DVD's but that's it. I can't change functions or get any sound out of any of the speakers that cam with it.

Double check the speaker wire connections. Also, change the batteries in the remote. Sounds like a connection problem.

I have an LG LHT764 Theater System and having a problem with the bass. I would like to know how to turn it down..

In the 5.1 Speaker Setup Menu you can adjust each speakers volume from -5dB to +5dB. You can also adjust the distance the each speaker but not for the Subwoofer.

I need a replacement motor for part # JQ24-351350F. They don't seem to be available anymore. Any substitutes? I know this motor is bad and is the problem for my LG LHT764 DVD player.

I believe it's the spindle motor for your DVD drive. Try the Mabuchi RF-300EA / FA one's, they're mostly used for the same purpose and could be considered as the equivalent.
Cheers!!

I am trying to hook up my Yamaha Universal Dock YDS-11 for my iPod touch into my Yamaha HTR 5830 Amp but there is not where to plug it into. Do I need another type of cables to do this.

Hi, I'm afraid that your receiver doesn't support YDS-11. You can check it at yamaha site. This dock uses special cable and special connector on the receiver (which yours doesn't have).
So the only way to connect your iPod to receiver is via analog audio output (jack connector on the iPod).

Hook up ipod to LG stereo LHT784

iPod compatible usually means there's an auxiliary jack available for the iPod, which you can connect to with a 1/8th to 1/8th cable. You can pick up one of those at RadioShack, they're pretty inexpensive.

It connects the headphone jack of your iPod to the stereo.

My Phase Linear UV8 and my Ipod

I wasn't able to find the manual for your Head unit. But, if you have jlink capability with your UV8 and you have an ipod jlink cable, you should just be able to plug the cable in. Then hook up your ipod and the head unit should recognize it when you try to select "ipod" for your source. I wish I could offer more info but like I said I wasn't able to see the manual and I am basing my answer off of what it takes for Kenwood headunits which use a similar "bus" type cable like your jlink. I hope I could help. Let me know if you need furthur assistance. I would happily help.
