Westinghousew lvm-37w3: pixel shift

Hello, Setup: westinghouse lvm-37w3 connected via dvi-d to an Shuttle XPC SN27P2 box with an evga GeForce 8800GTS graphics card the flatpanel is also connected to a dvd player via Svideo Problem: After the LCD Flatpanel runs for about a half hour or so it begins to display green and magenta pixel around any gradation for example if an image of a person standing in front of a gray backgorund the screen displays a halo of green and magenta pixels around the person. Also if a graphic is displayed with a fade the display will show green pixels as well. same thing happened playing a dvd through svideo.

I suggest you make sure that you are running the latest diplay drivers for your GT240.
You can get them at the Nvidia download center here.

Just select the following from the drop-down boxes.
Product Type: GeForce
Product Series: GeForce 200 Series
Product: GeForce GTS 240
Operating System: Your current operating system.
Language: The language that you want the setup to be in.

Then click the search button.
Click download on the next page. Once downloaded, run the setup and it will install the driver. You will need to restart to finish the process.

Hi,

I suggest try the HDMI connection on your machine and see if its able to give display, since you purchase a new Video Card I assume it have a HDMI port. Or try different monitor with a DVI port if you really want a DVI connection, If it works it means the DVI port on your monitor is faulty.

Sorry,... there isn't one. This model is what is known as a "Monitor". There are no built in tuners, it has to have an external source of some sort.

It may be coincident that it failed after power outage, it can be that the power supply may be failing, that will be the first place to look.

Need some help please. Shuttle sn27p2 nearly 4 years old. Problem: Green led on mother board on, pressing the power switch and nothing happens at all, that?s no fans, no light on power switch nothing....

Your symptoms make me believe that you're out of Power Supply. Does this happen all of a sudden?

How to replace backlight in a westinghouse 37" lcd tv? and where to get replacement backlight? model LVM37w3....

Backlight board,It call a LCD inverter board,it long board in shape.After take the tv backcover out.Replaced this board pretty easy just require a philip screw driver take out about 6 pilips screws,and few cables connections.Do the reverse to connect.Tries Websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish LCD inverter board for the replacement.

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc. Look for 5vdc, 12vdc, and 24dvc.

I see dots on my monitor screen but my card is right it is not burnt out

If yo are using an LCD monitor , pixels do go bad and will appear as dead spots. This could be your problem. It also happens to LCD TV's
