I have an error code showing on Amcor Portable AC Model PCMB-12000E. Error Code E2 comes on over temp setting when turning on...

Actually there is no way to do what you want because the unit is designed to operate when the inside temperature allows the heat exchanger to function so that it will condense the liquid refrigerant into a gas.
As far as using it in the winter to dehumidify this same applies. If it is to cold then the gas won't be able to condense back into a liquid. If I were you I would buy a portable dehumidifier but remember that if the temperature is to low it won't work.

E2 is a cold water inlet temp sensor. Has your unit experienced any freezing conditions? If it senses below 36 degrees or above 90 degrees it will show this error.

If its normal temp, and you still get this error...check your sensor. Its an 8(kohm) sensor. Make sure its not open. If it reads ok and your temp is not an issue, then you probably have a bad control board

I have searched and searched and have not been able to find an Owner's Manual for your model Amcor Dehumidifier. I did discover that Haier and Fredrich both have similar models, So similar, I suspect Haier manufactured them. But, neither the Haier nor the Fredich's unit have any information concerning Error Code 2. Plus, the ratings for your Amcor model were not very good. Seems that Amcor is riddled with problems.

In any event, lets try to solve your problem. First, turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF. Unplug the unit from the wall outlet and remove the water collection bucket and the air intake filter. Check the filter closely for significant dust and dirt buildup and clean it if necessary. Make sure the filter is thoroughly dry, before placing it in the unit. Leave the unit unplugged for at least 15 minutes or until the filter is dry. Then replace the filter, insert the bucket - making sure that it fits swaourely from top to bottom into the bucket holder. Plug the unit back in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. Hopefully, the 15 minute timeout has allowed the unit's electronics to reset themselves and they reverted back to the original factory settings. If so, set the controls to your liking and the unit should start and run like it should.

you can get a part from any suppies store that sells a/c equipment ... some requier epa license .. but something like a fan u can buy that without a license ..

Try to extend the pipe using a pvc pipe or, some sort of pipe.use alluminum tape that you can get at your local hardwhare store to seal the crack in the pipe that you use to extend..

easy go to any refrigeration parts sales shop and buy some air con filter foam cut to size and put in unit 5mm thick will do

If the filters are clogh with dirt , the unit breaker will shut it off ,it's avery common problem , but if after the filters were cleaned it keeps shutting off , could be a bad fan motor or the compressor itself could be grounded.
