I could be wrong, but I would switch to the manual mode and turn off the automatic features since the red light is actually an inferred sensor used to determine when enough light has fallen on the subject and tell the flash to terminate. By going to manual, you remove the need for the circuitry to tell the detector to turn on.

Xerox 6350 prints to much magenta

is it also when you print blank pages after the 25-50 pages? if so it could be the fuser, if not it could be the imaging unit. Check your magenta imaging unit and fuser roller anyway. If any of them is dirty, replace them.

Solution to the HP Purple Web Cam Issue

This document is located on HP's web site concerning purple tint on certain web-cams.

This document pertains to certain HP Notebook PCs with Windows 7.
When using an HP ENVY 15 notebook PC webcam in low light conditions, images on the webcam may have a purple tint. The ENVY 15 Series webcams include night vision technology that is designed to operate in normal lighting conditions and optimized to operate in low and zero light conditions. The webcam night vision feature includes two Infrared (IR) lights located on each side of the webcam and behind the display panel bezel.
Low to zero light conditions will cause the webcam IR lights to activate. The IR lights provide illumination for low and zero light conditions and help prevent fuzzy images that are typically associated with operating standard webcams in low and zero light conditions.
Turn off the webcam IR lights. While some degree of purple tint may be present under low light conditions, turning off the webcam IR lights will reduce and in certain cases eliminate the purple tint.
  1. Select Start > All Programs > HP > HP MediaSmart > HP MediaSmart Webcam .
  2. In HP MediaSmart Webcam, select Settings > Display > Advanced Settings , and then click the Camera Control tab.
  3. Select the Low Light Compensation check box, and then click Apply .
  4. Click OK .
NOTE:Disabling the webcam IR lights will cause display images to appear darker in low and zero light conditions.

The webcam IR lights are also available on other webcam programs.
Refer to the software Help for additional information.
This document will be updated if additional information becomes available.

Magenta Color

Here is something that may help from the toshiba.com website under your model number television. Q. Why are people on my screen green?
Models: 32HL17, 37HL17, 42HL17, 42HL167, 47HL167, 52HL167, 42HL167, 42LX177, 46LX177, 52LX177, 57LX177

If the problem is not the connections, try adjusting the tint on your television. A high tint setting will usually create a green
image on the screen where as a low tint will create a more red hue. In order to access your television's tint:
1. Press the “MENU” button on your remote control and use the LEFT or RIGHT arrow keys and select the
VIDEO menu.
2. Then use the UP and DOWN arrow keys to highlight PICTURE SETTINGS and press the "ENTER" button on
your remote.
3. Next use the UP and DOWN arrow keys to highlight TINT then use the LEFT or RIGHT arrow keys to adjust the
TINT. If the picture is too green the tint will need to be lowered.
4. Once you have adjusted the tint to your liking, use the DOWN arrow key to highlight DONE and press ENTER. The toshiba customer service telephone number is : 1-800-631-3811. I hope this helps you with your problem.
