Reboot randomly My Xperia Active (Android 2.3.4) which I bought this year keeps rebooting itself at random time. It keeps happening when I'm on multitasking, when it's in standby mode or even on call. I thought it might be the system failure, system crash or something. So, I clean up my phone, scan for viruses, monitor the running apps.. yet it's still happening. It's really irritating me. I hope you can provide me the solution. Thanks..

I'd suggest that you re-flash the device. This should be a hardware fault. And I advice you not to put the latest OS(4.04 I think which is very buggy for a device like xperia active with a little RAM)

SOURCE: Sony Ericsoon M600i Crash Restart to increase performance

It seems your phone is running out of memory. M600i comes with 60 to 80 MBs internal memory. The phone treats larger part of the memory as RAM. And UIQ3 the OS on this phone retains the applications in its RAM once it is opened till you go to Task manager and press exit program. Thus, phone has no other option but to restart to free some memory and show the above message. In your case as you've said the phone restarts after few seconds try this as soon as it starts and home screen appears:-

  • press (use the jog dial {wheel} and the star key) >*<<*<* (thats:- up*down down*down*) service menu will appear
  • choose format/restore phone settings whichever applies to your phone enter the security code by default it is (12345). It will format the phone's internal memory which is also used as RAM in M600i. The error message "the phone was restarted to improve performance" appears when there is no more free memory left in the phone's internal memory. Try this and post the result.

SOURCE: my phone keeps shutting off

Try updating the software on your phone... Directions for this can be found on the sony ericsson main website..

Sony ericsson phones usually start giving problems after some use, and replacing the software usually takes care of the problem..

SOURCE: xperia x10, at&t service, keeps

HI donsheppsrd take the batttery out of the phone. first and the take the memory card ot. Now put the memory card back in the phone. The phone should start back up. IT sounds like you have too many applications running on the phone and the phone's memory is full. Go TO THE DROID MARKET AND DOWNLOAD ADVANCE FREE TASK MANAGER . Once you download the free task manger it the blue label one. You will need to go to and have it stop all open running programs. This should help you out a lot. Ok if your still having problems after all this I want you to take the phone to your local provide to see if they can help you.

I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/ronald_e152e07e272e4f27

Samsung turns off

I have 2 sgh-m919 galaxy s4 s from TMobile. Both phones were randomly showing the message "sim card not detected restart" and phone would reboot.. sometime would have to reboot 2 or 3 times before i was normal. I tried many of the net poste solutions including paper on sim card, clear cache, new battery etc. Nothing worked

This week i was ready to buy a new phone.. but was sure the phone wasnt the problem. I started deleteing apps one at a time and found the problem. It is GOOGLE MAPS !!! G0 into settings / more / application manager / slide over to all/ down to Maps /clear cache/ uninstall updates / force stop. Then turn off phone and restart. When you go to use maps or waze again when it asks for permission "decline" it will still work and you wont see the sim not detected restart message again.. Google the words google maps crash or reboots and see how many phones crash. Galaxy s4 happen to have the dialog box that makes it appear to be a hardware problem! Googles motto use to be "First do no harm" please reply if this works for you

Good luck!

Computer randomly shutsdown without warning

option-1:
Many times battery indicator may show good, but in reality life of the battery might have gone down.

option-2:
Install an antivirus. It could be another program such as virus which is causing this reboot.

Dell PowerEdge 1500SC that started to reboot itself randomly but now switches off within a minute of startup

assume power supply is failing or overheating, suggest replace power supply for new one or one with higher power rating to cope with power demand.

I hope this was useful.

My new eMachine keeps crashing. I walk away with items open and when I come back, it has done an unscheduled reboot - like someone walked by and pulled the plug except it does come back on on its own. ...

Open Control panel (switch to classic view). Double click on "Power Options" (green cell in Vista) and select 'High Performance'.

If its already set to High Performance settings, inspect the cables especially at the jacks as they may be loose.

You have to make sure the electricity does not cut randomly and if it does, use a UPS (with adequate rating eg 400 Watt PSU needs 400/06=650VA UPS) or an inverter.

When the PSU (power supply unit) is failing it can cause the system to restart randomly until it fails completely taking away the motherboard with it.

At this stage you should not open the case but try the steps I have suggested.

Note that in addition to the above a software conflict may be forcing the system to reboot. If the problem persists, contact E-machines as you are within the official 1 year warranty period.
