In the passenger compartment fuse block look for fuse number 42. That will be the left trailer stop/turn fuse.

fuse 36 is the right stop/turn fuse.

they are both 10 amp fuses.

SOURCE: LEFT TRAILER TURN SIGNAL DOES NOT WORK

I have seen once before that the fuse box was bad on a 2003 Dodge 3500. I had power in and nothing out. We had to replace the box. Not cheap! Hope it is simple like a loose connection though. I think I had to pull the inner fender on the drivers side to access the bottom of the fuse box. Pain in the ****, but...

SOURCE: Factory Trailer tow package - fuses?

Look in the owners manual first. I have seen some of the fuse boxes under the back seat on the drivers side. Also try http://www.etrailer.com/faq-wiring.aspx. This should help. Mike

I have a 2003 ford F150 and I bought a factory plug in trailer harnes but the only light that work now is the running light I got back under truck and tried the harnes with a tester and it seem the trailer...

The fuses for the trailer tow adapter are in the normal fuse panels.

Engine Compartment fuse panel
101 - Is the battery charge circuit ( hot in run position )
20 - Left Stop / Turn fuse
19 - Right Stop / Turn
5 - Trailer tow reversing lamps & Trailer Tow parking lamps

Cab Fuse Panel
23 - fuse for the relay for the trailer tow battery charge circuit

All of these are in the owners manual

If you did not get an owners manual with your truck ( purchased used ), you can download one from Ford :

Trailer towing clearance lights do not work. All other lights and brakes work on trailer.

Check the fuse for the trailer tow parking lamps, this is engine compartment fuse # 5, 20A
The other thing to check is the trailer tow parking lamp relay.

I have a 1998 ford f 150 and can't get the trailer turn lights working. i checked the fuses all are good so I think it's a relay but I don't know wich one is for the trailer turn lights and the book...

A 1998 has the engine mini fuse panel installed, but it is not documented in your owners manual. Don't know why this is.

You would want to open the engine mini fuse panel, and check the 20A fuse.
This is a picture with the relays documented, as this is not covered in either the 1997 or 1998 owners manual.

Chances are the fuse supplying power to the L & R trailer tow stop / turn relays is blown. Common source for this problem, but could also be the relays ( possible but not probable that both went at the same time ).

You can download the 1997 Owners manual and get the page that has the engine mini fuse panel picture and info.

2001 F150 supercrew w/ factory towing - No tail lights on trailer

Not sure which fuse you checked.
The Engine Compartment Fuse Panel ( Battery Junction Box / BJB ) is where the fuse is for the trailer tow adapter parking lamps.
Fuse # 5 is the fuse for the parking lamps, and the reversing lamps.

Next is the trailer tow adapter park lamp relay. This is what BJB Fuse #5 feeds, and the coil is operated by the truck's parking lamps. This is also in the BJB, Relay 201, it is the 1/2 size relay.

Not sure what you took a resistance reading from on the trailer tow adapter.

If you want, you can pull the trailer tow park lamp relay, and jumper the normally open contacts, which should provide power at the trailer tow adapters, regardless of the truck's lights.

F150 Ford 1998 is there a fuse for a trailer and where is it located? Thank you

There are a few fuses for the trailer tow adapter.

1st, is theodd location on the 97-98, engine mini fuse panel has a 20 A fuse forthe stop / turn lamps. Have seen it covered in tape from the factory onsome 97-98 MY trucks.
This is on page 142 in the owners 1997 manual, all the revisions for the 1998 owners manual I have seen do not include this fuse box for some reason.

Download a PDF version from Ford, for the 1997 MY at :

https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenance/owners_manuals/default.asp

This is a picture of the Power Distribution Box, additional relay box and engine mini fuse panel with the covers off. The 20A in the upper right panel with the red base, is the trailer stop/turn fuse.

The others :
1. Power Distribution Panel / engine compartment fuse panel
Fuse #1 - Trailer tow back-up and tail lamps
Fuse #16 - Trailer tow battery charge and stop/turn lamps
Fuse #28 - Trailer tow electronic brake

2. Instrument Panel Fuses ( cab fuse panel by hood release )
#23 - trailer tow battery charge relay

Need to hook uo a flat four trailer conector ,dont know ford

The rear lights :

Brown is the parking lamps ( either side )

Driver's side Stop / Turn : Light green w/ White stripe wire
Pass Side Stop / Turn : White w/ Light blue stripe wire

Another option ( for use with the factory trailer circuits ) is to add / replace the factory tow adapter. eTrailer has them, if you are interested. This is the type adapter as Ford p/n: YL3Z-13A576-G. You would need to install the relay and the fuses for the trailer circuits if you do this.

Trailer Tow reversing relay ( non serviceable ) and the Trailer tow parking lamp relay are both fed from Fuse #10 ( coil on reversing relay is fed from reverse lamps & coil on parking lamp relay is fed from the parking lamps ).

Trailer Tow battery charge relay is fed from Fuse #106 ( coil is fed by fuse #13, hot in start / run position from key ).

Right Stop / Turn is fed from Fuse #36 ( powered from MFS circuit for truck stop/turn )
Left Stop / Turn is fed from Fuse #42 ( powered from MFS circuit for truck stop/turn )

If this is a factory light harness for the trailer hookup on your Caravan. Look under the hood for a fuse box. Many 2000+ vehicles have this with separate fuses just for the trailer lights.
