I have panasonic phone fax - model KXF750 - the #2 only works occasionally - if I hit it with my left - lighter han. I tried blowing air but that does not work. Case # is 258 395. Person I spoke to thought that there could be free delivery to Canada of a new one if I purchased new - is that true

most answering machines will allow you to get your messages by hitting "*" or "#" during the message portion of your call then entering a code (usually 0000 from mnf) if you have not changed your code this should work.
try sending a fax using your fax on another telephone line because your phone line might be faulty.also try sending to different fax numbers to see if it` is your fax which has a problem or the other
The previous solution only works for older machines. I have the same Panasonic model and this works every time. On your handset, hit the top center button(menu). Touch the arrow down button 7 times. Should say "Initial settings". Hit top right button on handset (display shows this is now the "select" key). Display now shows "Set Answering". Hit top right button again ( select key). Display now reads "Ring Count". Hit arrow down button 2 times. Display now reads "Remote Code". Hit select key again and enter your desired 2 digit remote code. Hit "Off" key. When you call the answering machine from the road, simply enter those same digits. Piece of cake. Enjoy.
J44=That is a paper jam in the paper exit section of the document (original) feed section. As your original is exiting the scanner section, it is either taking too long, or hanging up, or possibly the sensor itself is dirty or has a broken "flag arm". There should be a small black plastic piece that the original hits when it exits the feeder. If it's there, try using canned air to blow out the area. Good luck.
