No video on Gateway One ZX4300-31 - Gateway One ZX430031 (PWGAW02013) 20 in PC Desktop

This model Gateway desktop computer has a built-in video card.
Connect the monitor to the Gateway motherboard video port and the boot up and go into the BIOS and select disable the built-in video.
Shut down then connect the monitor to the 8800GTX video card and boot up the Gateway computer. The video should then appear in the monitor.

Motherboard side of video cable, should be under the Switch Cover, (LED indicators, Power On button, speakers, etc), or under the Keyboard close to the Switch Cover.

Don't forget to remove ALL power. Remove the AC adapter (Charger), and Battery. (Use CARE. Wires going to Switch Cover. Do not cut them by accident, or pull on them when removing Switch Cover )

Video cards are normally built-in on the laptop motherboard and you cannot replace them or add a new one because there is not an expansion slot to add a video card.

You can download and install the video driver for your Gateway laptop.

Unfortunately, there isn't any way to increase the video performance of this model. Only very few laptops have interchangeable video cards and this isn't one of them, sadly. Video RAM can sometimes be increased in the BIOS by hitting F2 when the computer is first starting up (during the Gateway screen) and fiddling around with that, but it's probably a long shot because usually only enthusiast laptops have that function.

Typically, installing a video card will have to be done by the manufacturer. Finding this type of part, especially from Gateway, will be very difficult. Installing the part will be even harder.

Getting this fixed may be more than the actual laptop is worth.

You don't need a driver for you monitor, you need a driver for your video card. The first step is to find out what video card you have. Once you have loaded the proper video card drivers you will be able to see higher resolutions to select from in your display settings box.

Try looking up for Updated drivers at Gateway for your Computer. Also find out what video it's using (ie. NVidia, Radeon, etc.) Many times the Video Card maker will have the latest updates for video cards before they get to the computer maker.
