Question about Apple iPod MA446LL/A MP3 Player
Universal connector at bottom can be used to play music through itunes or other output devices, but audio connector at the top does not output sound.
There could be something going on with the contacts in the headset jack. If you can get the back of the Ipod off and plug a headset into it, check the two metal pieces on the jack to make sure that the black lines on the plug are in contact with the end of the headset. They can be realigned by simply bending them back into place.
