I have got a new ilive docking station i put my ipod video (30G) and nothing is working on my ipod it wont play my music over the ilive the radeo and cd player works but the i pod part doesent work

I had this problem too. You're going to have to restore it with iTunes.
Plug your iPod into your computer and sync it with iTunes.
Go to the "Summary" tab and choose restore.
Let iTunes do its thing and try it on you dock again.
If that doesn't work then I would suggest taking it on and off of the docking station until it works. I know this sounds really primitive but this is what I ended up doing and now it works fine.
One last thing, if you recently upgraded your iPod's firmware then that might be what is messing you up. Sometimes docks aren't compatible with the newer firmware Apple puts out so you might have to buy a new dock unfortunately. But if your iPod was jailbroken on a past firmware you can use this video to downgrade it to when it worked with your dock.
I have an iLive bar speaker ipod dock and it has worked great until
today. The sound isn't working. You can hear that it is on, but it isn't
playing music. The display works and everything. Is this fixable?
I successfully connected the ASD-3W to the Denon 3808CI using the supplied AV/Control cables (dock control, L & R audio, S-video). I used the video and audio input connectors marked VCR (iPod) on the 3808CI and used the default settings. I used the connector marked Dock Control for the control cable. These VCR (iPod) connectors are different than the input connectors marked VCR. I turned the source selector to VCR/iPod Stereo and operated the GUI using the ASD-3W remote control. I was able to play music and video.
Omg i have the same exact one and the exact thing happens with mine---blue light no longer shows up and music will not play through the speakers---my ipod still charges and the clock still works but yeah---i also got mine 2 months ago!
hello everyone with this problem I bought a use unit last sunday and it was working ok till next day then not sound not light , I try to push every botton and shut off and on but nothing , after many times I decide to open the boom box , and resoldering all the connections take like 1hour but now the unit works perfect the only thing is the blue light never came on , but cd works fine and radio also the dock for the ipod , is working fine
