Hey,
nothing is wrong :)
just go on create new file you game is corrupted the same thing happened to me :P you HAVE to delete the data or your DS itself will get corrupted.
The game does not have an option to delete the save file
The best and recommended method is to simply start a New Game and overwrite the existing save file
If you really really want to delete the save file, this can be done by purposely corrupting it (by, say, turning off the DS as it saves), but this should be done at your own risk in case something unexpected goes wrong (such as ending up with a partially corrupt file that will not load)
All you have to reset it. To do that, turn off the DS, then hold down A+B. Keep holding them down while you turn on the DS. Just before the message that this product is not endorsed by Nintendo, and while still holding down A+B, hold down Start+Select. Keep holding all these down until the Enter Game Card screen comes up. It's tricky to keep all the buttons held down, so you might have to try it a few times before it's really reset. You'll know if it's reset because you'll be able to copy a code over to your DS. That's it.
Simply select New Game from the menu and overwrite the existing save file (this is the recommended method)
The game does not offer an option to delete save files (although it is possible using the arguably risky method of purposely corrupting the file by, say, turning off the DS as it saves)
Sorry to say, your friend might not be able to recover it.If it is possible, then I think you should get a super pro expert, not on here.Maybe try Nintendo or whoever the game was made by.

It is possible to "erase" a save file by corrupting it (such as turning off the DS as it saves), but this should, of course, only be done at your own risk
