It means that whatever you are trying to play is not compatible with the player. It could also mean that the media you want to play is faulty, so even though it says it can play MP3 files for instance, and you are trying to play an MP3 file, it's so corrupted that it can't recognise the file as being an MP3.
Often the player requires a CODEC to play some files. If you player is the type that can accept new CODECS, such as Windows Media Player, you can get them free online by searching for "K-Lyte CODEC Packs".
If you get a corrupted file, there really is not anything you can do. Corrupted files are generally caused by somehow forcing a process to stop while it's writing to a file, and that file becomes corrupted. For example, if I am playing a game and I try to save, but then get bored of waiting and turn off the console while it's still saving, the file will become corrupted and unusable.
Don't fall for online scams of tools trying to recover corrupted files, there is really no way to save a file that's been corrupted. You should just delete the file and move on. If it's DLC you can redownload it, if it's a game save you can work your way back.
the data probably got corruptted if you turn off the game while it is saving. unfortunatley there is no way to fix this except to start over. i know... that sucks. it happened to me with guitar hero 3
You are going to have to start again, first connect the unit to your computer copy anything you want to save piccys movies and stuff but not the corrupted music files, Format the drive, then goto http://www.nodevice.com/driver/_PVR-H140/get33981.html download the driver files and re-install to the PVR, then copy all your mp3 files back.........
Hi Guys, I have the same corrupted file, but you can recover it by using the GoldWave software. Just type"Goldwave" in google, follow the link and download the software, install it. From that software open the corrupted file, and then save it as a new copy. ( It will fix the problem when opening the file, where you can see it). They try to play the new saved file, shld be fine. all the best.
