How to upgrade hdd for Samsung DVR HR737

You can't I'm afraid. There is no mechanism for reverting to older versions of the firmware and this upgrade (3001.1) destroys your TV. I have phoned and e-mail samsung and their only resolution to this is "have a new moterboard fitted".

Unfortunatley if you search the AV Forums on the web you will see thousands of people have fallen into this trap and Samsang dont seem to care. Try contacting them directly through samsung.com

Anyone else reading this should avoid purchasing Samung products and CERTAINLY don't upgrade the firmware if you already have one. Unfortunately Samsung dont seem to understand the concept of customer care.

Sorry dj_mrcina, this probably isn't what you want ot hear but your only options are: hope they release a patch with a version of 3001.2 or above : get a new motherboard fitted (Samsung will pay for this is you call them) : Stop watching 3D.

DVRs, not sure at the moment about the one you have, are limited with the brands and size hard drives it is able to accommodate. I'll advise you to check the manual you have with the DVR to see the brands and sizes that it can accommodate.

i have compaq 4 board his problem this he starting beep on the chasis fan not detect. i am all things change the fan related erros but he is still as it is. so please you help me wht about me.. for this problem...

I had the same problem, if you go through the channels from your DVD-R remote it should give you the option AV-1 and then AV-2 ? on mine it's AV1 (test it out first and you have to watch what your recording) then it should record from the cable box

tell me 1st xp installtion had started than stoped,

than ahve a prob for bad sector in booter,

or occured with overheating cause of simultaneously writing.

so try to cool down your HDD.
