I needed to re-install Windows XP after a disk crash on a Compaq Evo. A number of drivers are not available after the installation, amongst them the Ethernet network driver (controller seems to be on the motherboard). Tried to download all 3 network drivers on the HP driver page. No success. Anybody any idea where I find that driver? Thanks! i cant finde driver for network controller
Need an ethernet driver update and audio update
Do a google search for the following:
Intel Pro2KXP.exe
This will give you the drivers for your ethernet card.
Worked for me
Bob Pro
What model is your Evo? D300, D300s, D300v, 310, 500, 510, 520?
Compaq Evo d51s/p4 1.8 ethernet network drivers xp
Change the speed of your card to 10 / full duplex.
and not to auto or 100.
I had the same problem... and with that change i am ok...
Which model EVO do you have?
Then in the left column click on Software and Driver Downloads.
Please vote if you find this information useful.
Thank You

This should work.
And just to add that your system specs are really old and you should think about upgrading. 128 mb ram upgradable to 2 gigs.
Integrated 4x agp graphics...you should be able to install a new agp graphics card.
Or you should buy a new computer if you dont know how to build your own which can be tricky and expensive if you cant reuse many parts.

since you don't know which model it is, do the following:
Start button->Run
type: cmd
when you get the DOS box, type the following:
systeminfo
press return
Scroll all the way back up and look for "System Model" I believe. That will tell us what model you have and I can point you to the right place.
