if you turn the key twice it should unlock and lock all doors until you can figure out the remote/lock switch problem.sounds like a door lock actuator problem on drivers door.I would start there.

SOURCE: drivers door lock will lock but not unlock with

Your door lock actuator is malfunctioning. Since yours is a coupe your going to have to unbolt the window from the regulator, remove the 2 10mms on the left side of the door and pull that side of the regulator out of the way. then there are 3 T30 to-rx by the door latch that you need to remove, a cable that you pull off that connects your exterior door handle to the lock actuator and unplug the actuator. Then you can shimmy it out. The door pin and cables that attaches to the inside door handle need to be switched over to the new one.

Also if you have front side airbags they have to come off, but remember DO NOT turn the key on while the air bag is unplugged or you will have an airbag light that will have to be cleared. Also don't have the key on while you plug the airbag in or it supposedly goes off in your face, or so im told.

12 Acadia. Power door locks and heated seats stopped working. Doors switches and remote don't work. Pushing unlock you can hear the relay click. When you push it to lock there is no sound.

Door Lock System Components
The power door lock system consists of the following components:
• Driver door module (DDM)
• Passenger door module (PDM)
• Door lock relay--Located in the instrument panel (I/P) fuse block and controls the locking of the rear doors.
• Door unlock relay--Located in the I/P fuse block and controls the unlocking of the rear doors
• Body control module (BCM)
• IP BEC
• Reversible door lock actuators in each door

Driver and Passenger Lock System Operation
The front power door lock switches are integral components of the driver door module (DDM) and passenger door module (PDM). The switches are two-position normally open rocker switches. When placed in either the lock or unlock positions, the switches provide a direct input to the DDM or PDM. The DDM or PDM monitor these inputs and send a LAN message indicating a change in the switch position. Modules, that activate the power door lock motors, receive the LAN message and activate the motor in the appropriate direction to lock or unlock the vehicle doors. The body control module (BCM) upon receipt of a lock or unlock signal will control the rear door lock or unlock relays and also send a LAN message to the DDM and PDM to perform the commanded function.
The modules that activate the power door lock motors are:
• DDM (driver door lock actuator)
• PDM (passenger front door lock actuator)
• BCM (both rear door lock actuators)
The DDM and PDM are directly connected to the respective door lock actuator through the door lock motor lock and unlock circuits. Once a door lock or unlock request has been received, the module will supply battery voltage to one side of the actuator and ground the other, causing the doors to lock or unlock.
The rear passenger doors are controlled by the BCM through the rear door lock/unlock relay which is incorporated onto the printed circuit board in the LH BEC. The BCM controls the unlock relay by providing ground to energize the coil and controls the lock relay by providing battery voltage to energize the relay coil. This energizes the relay and allows voltage to be applied to either the door lock motor lock or unlock circuits. Since the other side of the door lock actuator is connected to the normally closed contacts of the opposing relay to ground, the doors lock or unlock.

Power window open partially with inside or outside

inside the mechanical lock (The part that actualy holds the door shut when you close it) there is a switch that informs the control unit that the lock is either locked or unlocked.
These switches fail sometimes, when this happens the control unit is not aware that you have opened the door, and therefor will not wind the window down slightly.
The switch is integral with the lock unit, and they are not easy things to replace either.

1992 Subaru Liberty wagon - cannot lock front passenger door.

Check the alignment with the door pin. Might be out of adjustment and will not let the door close all the way. That will cause the lock to not be operable. Good luck and have a great day.

Vauxhall combi ,side door of van does not open even when central locking is unlocked, the door cannot be opened manually either frrom inside, very occasionally the side door will unlock but will not lock...

A switch opens the door when you use the central locking system. If the door fails to open or close, this switch has probably gotten detached or the locking mechanism is damaged.
To find the problem and fix it-pull apart the door panel and feel for a thin rod connected to the locking mechanism.
This will help you pinpoint the issue and then fix it.
