Orange padlock comes up on screen for the Pentax Optio S5i everytime we try to access any buttons. We have tried reseting the camera without luck and the memory cards successfully play images on digital picture frame even though they won't on the camera.

I have lost my cd for my optio s5i pentax camera and have a new laptop how can I get another cd or download software so I can transfer photos onto my laptop
I had the same problem - try this. Switch to playback mode by hitting the play button. In playback mode try the menu button (It worked for me). In the settings scroll down to the reset option and reset all camera settings.
Try taking out the batteries and re-inserting them after some time. If it doesnot work, most probably it is an hardware issue. Take it to the service center.
It means that the camera is in 'Green' mode. Turn off the green mode by pressing the 'Green' button (also used as the delete button when in playback mode).
