SOURCE: how do I unfreeze frozen sata port0
If the issue is that it does not see the hard disk on the 0 port ...and
it gives you blue screen memory error ..it means it does not have the
ahci driver installed ..you need to instal it as a 3rd party ...or ..go
to bios settings (press f2 on start ) .select the hdd and under the
settings for it ..disable the ahci for sata ..and select ide or ide
compatible ..or sata as ide..depending on choices..
save settings with F10 and restart ..It will make the port functional ..
If
you want to install with the advanced host controller interface ..than
press f6 I think ...when it asks for 3rd party driver ..and try to load
it from a usb device by browsing for it ..(in normal mode you need a
floppy drive ) ..but it may work ..be sure the usb is enabled in bios..
if
it does not work ..than make a boot-able usb memory ..with the
operation system ..and use it and insert the driver disk in the dvd
drive ..and will work ..This way .when it asks for 3rd party
drivers..you will load the raid driver and the ahci driver ..and go on
with the installing ..
