The problem you are describing is typical of audio output ic problem when there is a high current load the protection circuit kicks in preventing further damage. But lets check a couple things! turn down volume, power off, and remove speaker wires from the back. now power on, if protection kicks in the audio ic needs to be replaced, if it powers up properly checks wires for shorts and speaker issues and hook up one at a time until protect comes on revealing the problem.

I have a 51inch LG TV and never had a problem I turned it off as normal and then tried to turn it on a while later and nothing I only got a red solid stand-by light it don't flash when press side buttons...

Try following the steps below.
Step 1
Press the power button once. If the TV does not turn on, observe the LED indicator, usually located on the TV's lower front panel. If the LED indicator turned off after you pressed the power button once, it is in standby mode. Press the power button once again to exit standby and turn on the TV.

Step 2
Observe the Standby light if the remote control will not work. If the Standby light stays on, the television is in Standby mode. Press the power button on the television, then try to use the remote.

Step 3
Turn the Energy Saving Switch off, then press the power button. The Energy Saving Switch is located on the rear or side panel on most Sony model TVs. Refer to your TV user manual for the exact location of the switch.

I got a used LCD1932 Lloyd's TV/Monitor. The top has a standby button, turns it on, but u hit same button to turn it off, it has red standby light that stays on, does that mean it's always on standby

It's normal; if the set do not show a screen at this time. The red light indicates that the set is in standby mode, and it will off, when you hit the standby button again, and the scree will get live.

I have a new unused Tronic T4X Battery Charger for 12v cars/motorbike. When this is plugged into the mains supply, the red standby light is illuminated, but when the 'Mode' button is depressed, it...

Re: Tronic T4X Battery Charger that is stuck in standby (red LED). Mine does the exact same thing. It was bought at Lidl in Norway when that company was present for a couple of years. I have taken the battery charger apart, but can not find any obvious faults, like blown components, bad soldering, etc. I also wonder why it fails like that. Just now I measured the tactile switch (mode button) with a multimeter, and it seems that it is faulty. 2 pairs is always connected, lets say pins 1 and 3 is always connected and pins 2 and 4 is always connected. No matter if the button is pressed. However pressing the button does not make a connection between the mentioned pairs of pins. There is always a 2,76 MOhm resistance between the pairs, even when the button is pressed. This makes me think that the button is faulty. This is how a tactile switch works: https://www.digikey.com/en/articles/the-basics-of-tactile-switches

Edit: I just soldered a couple of wires from either side of the switch. Then I could power up the charger and make contact between the pins while it was on and showing the red indicator light. I measured 5VDC between the wires and 0VDC when I shorted the wires. The LED did not change at all. The output of the charging leads was 30 mVDC while contact was open, and 10mVDC when the button was "pressed" (wires shorted). Maybe I have to have a battery connected for the charger to start charging/change mode? That will be the next thing to try.

The "on" light is always green, even if turned off. Why?

It occurs when your wii in the Standby, but WiiConnect24 is enabled with Standby Connection is enabled. the content can also be received when the Wii is left in standby mode.

WiiConnect24 can be turned on or off via the setup setting. While the console is in standby, the power LED indicates the current status of the standby connection,

  • Red indicating Standby - wiiConnect is off,
  • Yellow indicating Standby - Connect mode is on. If you hold the power button for 3-4 seconds, the Wii goes into standby mode with Standby Connect off. and WiiConnect24 will not operate until the console is turned on.

The remote control will not operate the TV when the TV is in the OFF mode (No LED lit on front bezel). To change the mode from OFF to STANDBY or ON, press the POWER button on the side of the TV. Once the POWER button is pressed, the LED will change to either red to indicate STANDBY or green to indicate ON, whichever mode the TV was in prior to being turned off with the TV POWER button.

By pressing the POWER button on the side of the TV, the mode will toggle from OFF to either STANDBY or ON. If the POWER button is pressed and then the LED on the bezel is red, the TV is in STANDBY mode and will need to be turned on using the remote control. If the POWER button is pressed and then the LED on the bezel is green, the TV is ON.

Tv went off while watching a program power standby red light blinks 6 times then pauses then repeats tried unplugging unit waiting a few minutes then replugged same results nothing. can anyone help me ?...

Here's an excerpt from the Sony Manual online. And the link - http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/webtree.pl?template=EN&mdl=KDF55XS955&content_id=68&category_id=11&problem_id=52

The POWER/STANDBY (red) indicator flashes three times
If your power/standby indicator is flashing in a pattern of three flashes, this may indicates that the lamp cover is not attached securely. Follow the directions in the Operating Manual under changing your lamp that related to closing and securing the Lamp Cover. Ensure that the Lamp Cover Door is securely fastened by tightening each screw.

The POWER/STANDBY (red) indicator flashes continously
If your power/standby indicator is flashing continuously, and the lamp cover has been secured, your TV may be in need of service.

The POWER/STANDBY indicator is lit up green (not flashing)
A sustained green light indicates your TV is on.

The POWER/STANDBY indicator is lit up red (not flashing)
A sustained red light from your power/standby indicator simply indicates that your TV is in standby mode. This shows you that your TV is ready to be turned on with the remote.

Is it the power light and not the lamp light? If the lamp light is flashing then replace the lamp.
