Blank screen hi i have amilo and when i turn it on the siemens screen apears but then a blank black screen with a small white flashing line apears and nothing else will load can you help

You can't change the chip set. Reload the motherboard drivers, then the nvidia drivers

could be hard drive failure,or you might try to reinstall windows before bying a new hardrive,but before any of that go to the BIOS and make sure that the boot order is right usualy hard drive first

Press
Fn+F8 then it might be working.
If that does not work then try;
Fn+ CRT/LCD

sounds like the video card is to blame, it is overheating and prolly defective.

This does sound like a problem with your Graphics Card.

Remove the battery and the power supply. Hook it to wall power only w/o the battery and try to turn it on. If it boots great, otherwise pull the power from the unit while it tries to turn on. Plug it back in and try turning it on again. If that doesn't work you need to re-seat the RAM and/or processor. Last thing to try if that doesn't work is new RAM as a processor almost NEVER goes bad and it is either the RAM or the motherboard at that point.

Try reconnecting the LCD cable on the back of the screen. You have to open the screen in order to access the lcd cable.

If this won't work, the cable is most likely not working correctly.

reset your monitor.
degauss it.
also check your cpu display option with other display if u have.

if you can notice this problem in the BIOS then the problem is with the Display adapter .. if you newly bought your computer i suggest you send it back
