At night when I have turned on the lights to drive, my factory fitted radio/stereo no longer lights up. What could be the problem? It is easily fixed?

There are tiny 12 volt light bulbs inside the radio that are soldered to the circuit board behind the radio face, they are liely burned out, pull the radio and replace them.

I have a 1990 Celica, trying to put in new radio. Got everything wired up correctly, Constant - blue/yellow, acc - gray, ground - brown and it won't come on. Radio fuse (top center 15 amp) is good,...

You have it right. Use a 12 volt test light to see if there is power between the gray and brown wires when the key is on. If there is power there, you may have got hold of a bad radio.

I changed stereo and now the dashlights do not work

Check your park light fuse. You may have blown the fuse for the dashlights/park lights by accidentally grounding the night illumination wire, located in the radio wiring. That wire runs from the dash lights to the radio, to illuminate the radio at night. Alternately, if the park light fuse keeps blowing when you replace it, you might've hooked that night light wire up to the wrong wire on your radio.
