This unit plays dvd's and TV input for a good hour or more then it just turns off. Once it cools down it reacts the same. I assume it is a power supply problem. I don't see any obvious bad solder joints, etc..Power supply has number PCA046FD-011-P-R.
Any known problems or updates for this problem?
Test the power supply capacitors, or replace the whole power board.
If you press power, and the voltage drops the diode is at fault
Check the transistors (those attached to the heatsink)
What u can do is take precaution of the heating issue ....
u may be able to install better heat sinks inside the system...
what i would suggest is to get a tecnician and ask him to istall the heat sink or see that the earlier heat sink is properly
placed... if not or damaged u could chane it
Its due to over heating at some electrical components.
you just remove the board from the tv.
and do cold solder the whole board and wait for a hour to make it completely dry.and then check it will definately work.
this types of problem are mostly solved by cold soldering the main board.
thanks.
Possibly a overheating issue?
Nope..but the power supplys can take a beating from the power line..easier to just get a replacement power supply, and keep it open so some air can get to it..

This unit is barely a year old - I'd really prefer to repair it. What are the common overheating failure components in the type unit? I don't see how I can get more air to it.
I have disassembled the unit and pulled the power supply out in the open air- it runs longer, but still shuts down.
