The HP LaserJet 1300 does not have a print head. If you are having print quality issues then 9 times out of 10 it is coming from the toner cartridge. Simply swap it out if you have a spare. The only other possible cause is a bad fuser film which can cause double imaging or a problem where some of the print from the top part of a page is reprinted lighter at the middle or bottom of a page.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.
BLACK ALL OVER PAGE COULD BE THREE REASONS
1) LASER SCANNER COULD BE SHOT
2) IMAGE TRANS FER ROLLER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.
3)EVEN THOUGH YOU MIGHT HAVE A NEW TONER ....DO NOT TRUST IT BEING GOOD !
TRY ANOTHER OR AN OLD ONE THAT WORKED BEFORE YOU CHANGED IT.
