The reset button cap on the lower left side of the unit may be jammed, causing the reset switch it activates to be come stuck.
This will put the unit into a loop in which it continually restarts.
You'll never see any sign of life if this occurs.
Be sure you see the "RESET" stencil or that may not be the reset button.
I've seen people poke paper clips their devices' microphone or speaker openings!
Be very careful when pushing the reset so that the button cap goes straight down.
If yours is stuck, unstick it, then it should come on if the battery is charged.
Then be sure to give it a FULL charge before using it, because while the button was stuck, power was being consumed.
Be sure to remove the rubber boot / skin before trying to reset the unit.
