Card error everytime i turn on my amera with any memory card inserted

First, make sure that the new memory card does not have the protect tab in the lock position. The new card must be unlocked and formatted before your camera will be able to use it. Also, make sure that the size card that you have purchased has not over shot the ability of your camera. I think that a 2 GB card is as large as you can use. Just because the card fits into the slot does not mean that the camera will address it!

if the cards work ok on something else then there's a issue within camera it could be the actual sd connector within the camera ? doess the camera support that size ? Optio E10 supports upto 1GB SD Card http://www.pentaxcanada.ca/pdf/o_manuals/om_OPTIOE10_e.pdf it might not work with the high speed sd cards ? Regards

I'm guessing that you bought a new 4GB SDHC card. Although it looks exactly the same as a standard SD card, the format the card uses is very different. Unfortunately your camera was designed before the SDHC format came out. Sorry, but a SDHC card will not work with your camera.
You'll need to use standard SD cards (usually those 2GB or less). But if you really want to use a 4GB card, do a Google search for 4GB SD "non HC", with the non HC in quotes. Believe Transcend makes one.

Hello,
Take out your memory card from the camera and then
inspect a small or tiny switch. This is the card lock. You need to move
it the other way around to enable write back on the memory card.
Hope this helps you out.

If your camera is more than a few couple years old, it's likely it was designed before the SDHC format came out. Sorry, but a SDHC card will not work with older cameras.
