If you don'nt have spark check for power from coil.If theirs no spark coming out of the coil then replace coil.Just pull the coil wire off the distributor side and ground it against metal and have someone else crank it over while you watch for spark.Be careful don't hold wire by hand you will get shocked.

SOURCE: 99 blazer no start

it is definitely the FUEL PUMP or FILTER then ;-) - or a blockage in the line.
I have heard it said that when the Chevy fuel pump goes, it self destructs and may leave (clogging) pieces in the tank (ugh)
Pump is IN the tank, so be extremely careful if you try to fix yourself. Fuel filter us UNDER the tank and cost $11.99 at Walmart.
My pump makes noise when I turn on the Key (but not starting) and so I thought it was OK too... but a Pressure check at PepBoys showed it LOW. $351.00 to drain, clean and replace pump. (another ugh) so I toodled over to Wal Mart, bought a Fuel ffilter for $11.99 and swapped ourt (pay attention to the ARROW it must point towards the FRONT of the car ;-)

Mine was full of coffee-like tar sticky stuff, so a quick change, new clamps (Use SSteel as these will not rust) and Bang, I was OK again.

CLAMP the fuel line coming in from the tank with 2 pieces of wood and a VVise-Grip pliers or C_Clamp. Don't want a face full of gas. Do the same on the ENGINE side of the filter.
Looen the 2 hoseclamps or twist them to break of rusted, and spen some time prying off the old hoses. Put a box full of crumpled newspaper or shredded stuff *sawdust works too) under the filter (on the ground) to catch the fuel or goo that will run out of there when the hoses pop off.

I took off the clamp on the Engine side, and let the fuel from the engine run out into a jar and it was uckky goopy brown too, but the last was clear so I let it drip out. After I wiggled the hoses and pried the old one off, I loosened the 3/8 nut and bracket and slid the OLD one out, and put the NEW one in. Then I put dishsoap on the nipple of the NEW filter and inside the old hose and pushed it on, then put on the hoseclamp and screwed it down tight. I then reattached the front hose the same way, put on the clamp, and now I had a new filter on the car. I still suspected I'd have to swap pumps.. but it was a $12.00 chance I'd definitely recommend to anyone ;-)

Make sure clamps are on RIGHT and hand TIGHT, hose on all the way and both clamps 1/4 inch from filter body, then take off the tank side Vise-Grip or C_Clamp and look for leaks. OK?

Then take off the ENGINE side clamp and look for leaks. OK?

Now go turn on the key so you hear the pump, let it stop making noise, and turn key OFF. Do this 20x to get fuel into the engine again. Then PUMP the GAS pedal 3x, hold to floor and start the car. As soon as it goes, slowly pump the GAS pedal and keep it running, but not RACING the motor!, and get it to idle again by itself (all air out of the fuel line)

Now go back and look for leaks. If there are any, STOP the motor and tighten clamp(s) just a bit. You dont want the clamp to CUT or CRUSH the hoses, just hold them tight.

Well Done!!

Like Kristisamp Said check the Fuel pump relays, they are little black box shaped fuses in the glove box, there are 3 of them, I think there may be a cover over them so you can see it......
Take the cover off and there you go......
I have a 96 blazer 2 door that had the same problem, I repalced thes relays and Bam!!! fired right up........

SOURCE: I have a 2002 chevy blazer 4.3L that wont start

are you using the original key ?? sounds wear but in the key switch there is a sensor that detects if the right key is in use otherwise it will kill the power to the fuel pump or it can be a fuse look under the left rear passanger seat there is another set of fuses and the other set of fuses are on the driver side near the door and there is another set of fuses and relays inside the hook next to the battery

If oil pressure sending unit is bad will it stop fuel pump from working on a 2000 blazer

You should never try a pump without it being in fuel. It uses fuel for lubrication when it is running. If the vehicle doesn't start at all when you first crank it over it is not the oil pressure sender. If you just put the pump in you might want to turn the key off and on several times to cycle the pump then try to start it. If it doesn't start then check fuel filter or check fuel pressure at fuel rail in engine compartment. Is fuel pump cycling at all when the key is turned on? There is a problem with ignition switches on some of these blazers.

2000 Chevy Blazer Cranks but wont start...

What about the fuel filter????? Have you changed it out??? If you can spary something like a started fluid, that means it is a fuel problem. My last check, it has to be above 50-psi on the fuel pressure to make it run right. I had 35psi, but whould not get over 30mph or down hill maybe 45mph. Check both filter & pressure, but check pressure with a New fule filter!!!!

My 1996 blazer wont start

Time to replace the fuel filter. It's not a hard job actually. And it's a VERY common thing to go wrong. I'd change the fuel filter and then run some fuel treatment through the tank afterwards. Believe it or not, I've noticed that a nice bottle of fuel treatment really conditions a fuel filter well.

Hope this helps you out.

Fuel pump 2000 chevy blazer

Check your connections. did you run the fuel pump wiring under the drivers side door sash like GM did?.. if so check for nicks in the wire or bending or cracks.. this happens.. happened to me. check your fuel pressure. 40 dollar part at an auto store. If its below 59 PSI it wont work. And blazers are very intolerable to low fuel pressure. Also try taking the negative post off your battery for a little while and then putting it back on and if you can get it started again drive around (if its safe and running decent) for at least 30 minutes to get your car computer system acclimated to a new functioning part. Did you check the fuel filter?. rule of thumb when a pump goes change the filter its always the last thing people expect because we all jump to catastrophic engine failure at the first no start moment. lol.
Make sure that all your ducks are in get my drift.. Air oxygen fuel thats the mixture you need to check all those vital parts. before pulling your head off.
