After loading dishwasher and closing door CLEAN, RINSE ONLY and SANITIZE lights flash continuously and I cannot set any cycle. Model is MDB6650
There is a button configuration that you can press to make the unit reset on some you would close the door and push normal wash heated dry then normal wash then heated dry on others it would the econo wash button then heated dry then the econo/ heated dry this pattern starts the unit and then puts it into the drain cycle and resets the control which allows you to start washing again. If you can name off all the buttons you have I can tell you exactly which ones to perform this reset in the unit. I await your reply
Rick
p.s this also happens on whirlpool models as well right after the warranty runs out so you end up paying the high service charge for a tech to walk in you door push a few buttons then collect a fee over 169.00 which is ridiculous.
Testimonial: "Rick Ead's rapid response led to a solution within an hour. His suggestions were correct and after figuring out the button combination for out particular machine we were up and running."
Buttons: Delay/Resume; Rinse Only; Light Wash; Normal Wash; Heavy Wash; Sanitize; Heated Dry; Drain/Off; Lock. Suspected their might be a reset combo like the one you suggested. Really appreciate your help
I believe on your model it would be sanitize/ heated dry, then sanitize heated dry you can even do it an extra time if it does not go change what is happening to your unit. These buttons are not pressed together they are pressed one at a time. I actually had a customer call me with same issue about 4 weeks ago. This sequence repaired his. After this sequence is pressed all lights will come on then unit will start and then you will hear the drain pump kick on let the unit run till it ends and remember the door has to be open then you close the door before starting this sequence. Let me know how you make out.
Thank you,
Rick
Actually you have the normal wash button so if the last solution does not work then try normal wash , heated dry, normal wash, heated dry basicly depends on who made the actual unit and where it was made as to the sequence but one of these two after you close the door press in the sequence listed and after you do all the lights led's will light up. after this happens on some units it automaticly goes into the wash the drains on others you would hit cancel. When you hit cancel this cycles the drain pump in the unit and then after the unit finishes you should be able to restart the washer after it ends with no problems. Any questions message me back.
Thanks again
Rick

Wash Cycle Options
Delay Start (model dependent):
This option allows you to delay the start time of your dishwasher up
to 19 hours.
Sanitize:
The Sanitize feature is available only in the Heavy, Auto, Normal and Half Load cycles. Press the
"Sanitize Option" button to activate the Sanitation features during these cycles. The technical sanitation
measures may also improve the drying results. The sanitize LED or The "Water Pipe" symbol will light when sanitation
requirements are met.
Note: The dishwasher automatically defaults to Auto Wash when turned off and back on. If you used the sanitize option
in your last cycle, the dishwasher will default to Auto Wash with the Sanitize option selected when you turn it on.
To achieve proper drying, always use a liquid rinse aid, even if your detergent contains a rinse aid or
drying additive.
Note: The dishwasher indicates low rinse aid by turning on the Refill Rinse Aid indicator LED (for units without
a display) or The "Spray Looking" symbol (for units with a display).
If this light is on, you need to refill the rinse aid dispenser
I got the idea that the "squiggly arrow" has something to do with the sanitize feature also. If you post your model number "on the inside right hand side of your dishwasher door" I'll go get your manual and post the link here. Hope this helps so far! :)
