Akai lcd 2oinch tv

I have a akai LCD 20 inch TV, and it wont come on. The TV was made in 2006 of November. I have a red power light, and no pitcure and no sound at all. what could be the problem.

I have a problem my power supply box has the green light on it and it stays green untill I plug it in the set. Then it goes out or very dimm. Does this mean it is just bad and do I just need to replace the black box or is it somthing bigger. Ps and the MFG year is 2006

Your power supply is bad. This model came with a bad design. Your supply may have a green light on the black box, but it is putting out low voltage or amps. Replace it and you should be good to go.

My akai flat screen tv is not turning on. the red light at the bottom of the tv is on and when the tv comes on the red light turns green and in a few seconds the tv comes on, when i press the power button...

i have one of these akai 27 inch with dvd, i had a similar issue i found a power supply at auction and exchanged it and it works fine now, normally with this symptom your power supply is fualty. if the light goes green and you have no picture then you know other boards are fualty

TV will not respond. Red power light indicator

Power supply board is dead.Replaced the power supply board will solved this problems.Tries Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Akai lct3201ad red standby light turns green then red again!

Symptoms of a Defective or dying Power supplies on LCD TVs.
1. Light(s) on the front panel are behaving not normal example, blinking, amber color or not steady, fainting, etc.
2. TV not turning ON properly.
3. TV turns OFF by itself.
4. Needs to be unplug to many times to make it work.
5. Humming or high pitch noise heard through speakers or at the back of the TV.

TV ON STANDBY MODE

The blinking light on the front indicates a shorted part in the power supply. The power board will need to be replace or repair to restore the LCD functionality.
