Can some help me when im going to take a picture the lcd screen is pure white with a yellow square can anyone tell me how to make it darker so i can see what im taking a picture of

if the monitor fails on 2 PCs the monitor has hardware issues, does it?
costs not a dime to plug it into friends PC with vga cable.
you said IT Shuts off,? does that mean.
the power button, has 3 colors, led status
off black led.
on green led.
amber led, sleep.
is it light going out?
or just a screen black,
if just screen black does OSD work on demand

if yes the monitor is not dead.(not totally)
if no it is dead.

seems your PSU board inside if bad, if the monitor goes dead.
Old monitors 2000-2007 had sleep timer.
disable that junk now.

seems it is a bad monitor, but id have to see it
and do many tests to condemn it.
Most of these monitors died long ago.
CCFL deathh(sic).
The first ones made in 2005 so is 13 years old.
Nevers seen one this old good.
CCFL failures are classic and super COMMMON.:
dead,
blinking (strobing effects)
yellow for white screens
dim

Hi; your TV has burn screen or traces.it comes from one image left on the screen for too long, it can get burned into the screen, making it visible at all times. You can actually eliminate most screen burns with the use of a PC computer and a black and white screen saver. This trick eliminates screen burn after a period of several minutes because the black and white screens flash quickly, removing all traces of color from the screen. This will eventually eliminate any burned images on the LCD screen. you can do it by creating a DVD picture slide with only black and white image. you can use a computer to make DVD picture slide first go to paint brush and draw only white then save as white.jpg. second burn it into nero or other dvd burner third play it to your DVD player connected to you LCD TV.it has to be played in full screen let the white image display on your HDTV for several hours or even overnight. It should remove any burned-in images or ghosts. hope this help...............

Hi,

Can the white balance have been changed accidently?
This will make the pictures look yellow.
So will taking pictures indoors under artificial light.

The White Balance setting is under the shooting menu, try setting it to auto.

Hope this helps.

-Have you try frame Shape...? If not then try frame Shape.

What it is...? It's a shape like rectangle, square and taller area or wider picture.
On the remote control should have a button label " P. Size"
-Try this button . it will change the shape of the picture. If it's still not help then a new TV.

same things happened to me...did you solve this?

Probably one of the backlights have faulted

Remove the LVDS cable, the one going to the input of the tcon board and see if it goes dark, if it does the Tcon board has failed

I took it back and got a full refund.

buy a new one take the screen out of the new one and then swap screens take it back to walmart tell them it doesnt work and get your money back.

i would just say swap cameras but im sure theres serial numbers in these
