How do you fix an alternator for a ford van 2002 E150 v6

voltage regulator is located internally inside an alternator and is usually not a serviceable part. you would either need to replace entire alternator or take it to a alternator shop to have them replace the voltage regulator

test the 1) fuse 2) switch 3) tight the connector 4) small motor with VOM. and fix it.

I can't read minds, nor do I have X-ray vision. Stupid questions get stupid answers. You need to give WAY more information about your truck. What YEAR is it? What engine does it have? Is it a stock van, or a customized vehicle [wheel chair van, etc]?

have the linkage adjusted

voltage regulator stuck (built in to alt.)and yes there are 2 diff. ones

Most are spring loaded. If it has a bolt on the front of it, use a socket wrench and press it down and that should compress the spring and should create slack in the belt.

check the plug and make sure it is not full of oil.clean it with contact cleaner and re install it.

Does Ford replaced the cruise control deactivation switch.
