make sure the resolution is on text and not photo when u copy!

Make a copy with your fax machine. If your scanner is bad you should have a similar problem making copies. The same scanner is used to make a copy as is used to scan and send a fax. If the copy comes out bad your scanner is either dirty or bad. If you can see your copy but it just has a few lines running vertically up and down the page then you need to clean the scanner glass. This is a small strip of glass in the port where you feed it your originals.

Copy or print? To copy you must push the copy button on the control pannel first and then the number of copies and then start. By default it may be in fax mode.

my fax mchine is not working

Your product must be accidently set to copy mode instead of fax mode and when it is, it actually expects a document to be loaded in the tray to "scan/copy" so change to fax mode again and try to sent the document. This should fix your problem.

If you do want to make a copy, make sure a doc. is loaded and press start copy to do so.

just check there wilkl bi mention face up or down .if not mention no problem just make a copy by putting face up and one copy by putting it face down.one time u will receive white copy and one time u will receive print on paper .when u will receive print check this is face up or down .after confirm just send fax

Your scanner block has a loose connection or it is bad.

The JX200 has four modes of fax receipt - Fax/Tel, Manual, Answering Machine, and Fax Only. The Fax/Tel mode, which you have indicated is your desire, is meant to let the fax machine automatically switch between fax and voice calls. Documents are received automatically, and the machine rings for voice calls.

Set the mode by pressing [Receive Mode/Resolution]. Every time you press [Receive Mode/Resolution], the mode changes cyclically.

4. Use arrows to select <FAX/TEL AUTO SW>, then press [Start/Copy]. The LCD displays <RING START TIME>.
5. Press [Start/Copy]. The LCD displays <8SEC.>
6. Use the numeric buttons, or arrows to enter the time the fax waits before ringing when it receives a call, then press [Start/Copy] twice.
7. Use the numeric buttons, or arrows to enter the time the fax rings while waiting for someone to pick up the Handset, then press [Start/Copy] twice. The LCD displays <RECEIVE>.
8. Use arrows to select <RECEIVE> or <DISCONNECT>, then press [Start/Copy]. This setting tells the fax what to do if the Handset is not picked up within the specified ring time set in step 6.
9. Press [Stop].
Setting ends and the fax returns to standby mode. The machine will now handle calls as indicated in the settings you input.

I presume that it is possible to send a fax normally? To make a copy, the machine is basically sending a fax to itself. Therefore if it is possible to send a normal fax and setting the paper to make a copy in the same way as faxing doesn't allow the copy button to work, then the fault is in the machine. Believe me this machine isn't worth spending money on.
