These cylinders seal themselves, just remove it by unscrewing it. Never store grill with cylinder still attached, then it could leak out leaving you an empty bottle or worst, exploding if near an ignition source.

Fire code says I cannot use my regular size gas grill with 20 lb tank, so I want to use with 16.4 oz tank. How do I adapt?

Can't different set up. The 16.4 oz is butane. The bigun is propane, 2 different animals. What fire code would prevent you from using one of the new fangled tanks with the safety device witin?

Burners are only lighting half way and then gas cuts out. Then the system repeats it' self. coleman heater mod #7995856, serial #1287658845. this is pretty close or just like heaters used in RV'S

OK, the burners will need to have flame on the entire surface or it will trigger a sensor and shut-off. Get a brush and maybe even one of thoes can of air and blow off the burner. Stay away from the glow ignitor because that is very delicate. Once you get flame on all surface of the burners, the unit should stay lit.

No propane flow to grill using bulk bottle system.

the office that is open on the bottom of the burner sound like a spider has taken home to.. the hole.... This happened to mine. a small pipe cleaner or wire will break it up...try that. also did you feel the top of the tank regulator and see if it has froze. try turning the tank upside down and turn the unit on.... this may also help by forcing the spider debris out.

Cannot conect regulator to small 16.4 oz propane tank

It must have some sort of packing spacer you need to remove from the hose to attach the tank. LOL

I have a coleman evcon and the gas keeps shutting off

The click noise you hear is the magnet inside the valve dropping out. Which means, the voltage that energizes it is low or interupted. Possible, weak pilot flame, bad thermocouple or bad secondary limit switch. This limit switch is located left of the main control. made of ceramic. It can also be a bad gas valve...

Coleman instastart propane stove regulator wanted

Check to see if Coleman has an attachment to replace the regulator, so that you can use a five gallon cylinder with your stove and your own regulator.
