Propane will not come thru burners

Propane tank is over half full and is turned on as well as both burners. The ignition spark is visible but cannot hear fuel sound or get any flame. The last thing I did to the grill is to thoroughly clean and scrub the entire grill with soap and pressure water.

Roadtrip Grill brand new. Attached Propane canister as instructed.Followed matchless lighting instructions. Turned on Burner to High. Did not hear propane coming through burner .

I would get propane coming thru for just 5-10 seconds, then it would drop off to just a minimal flame. I read the response about the air lock and it made sense. I just picked up the propane tank and shook and turned it around a bunch and now it works great. Thanks!

Most propane problems are due to a new valve on the top of the tank. It is designed to only allow a minimal flow until the line is pressured. This prevents fire flair up from broken or leaking hoses. Always turn the bottle on and wait before trying to light a burner. If the burner is on first, the propane will never come out at full flow or if you have a leak in the system, it won't pressurize sufficiently to allow full flow out of the bottle. There is never "air" in the tank.

I have the same sort of problem, the left burner will not burn correctly.
I cleaned the spider out of the left orfice and it works great.
It was very easy to take apart and clean all the components.
I blew out all the lines with compressed air and cleaned the jet or orfice with very little disassembly.
Less than an hour to clean and back up and BBQing.
I hope the other guys that have this same problem can see this, it will save them from buying a new grill.
Good Luck

Sounds like your propane tank has an air-lock(the gas is trapped in bottom of tank with air on top of it)you need to take your tank into service depot and get them to purge the tankof all the air in it.

Did you check for a block in the lines, what you could try is holding the connector to the propane tank straight while tightening it on, i had the same problem with my bbq full propane tank and no propane through the burners

Propane not getting to burners; how do i fix

James,

Try Reseting the Regulator.....

1. Turn off the gas at the propane tank.
2. Disconnect the hose from the propane tank.
3. Open the lid of your BBQ Grill.
4. Turn all the burner valves to high.
5. Wait for 2 minutes.
6. Turn off all the burner valves.
7. Connect the gas line back up to the propane tank.
8. Turn on the propane tank slowly.
9. Light the grill using the proper ignition sequence.

Best to you.
