In a lot of cases, the recovery disks you built may be looking for installation files (windows installation files) from a partition that is on the original drive of the machine. Your new drive would not contain this partition or the files. If you can STILL get into the old drive, I would consider putting both drives in your desktop.....and then use an disk imaging software to do a disk to disk clone of your drive rather than reinstalling Windows from the recovery disk. There are plenty of options for free cloning software.....just google free disk imaging, and you will probably find a ton of options with instructions. One thing to note....when cloning a drive be VERY careful when choosing your SOURCE and DESTINATION drives. Your SOURCE would be your old drive with your data, and your DESTINATION is your new drive. If you mess up that step, it will overwrite your old drive with the "blank" data from the new drive, and your data will be lost.
The other advantage to cloning, is you will get an exact replica of your current configuration. you dont need to reinstall programs or reconfigure things.
well u just open up your CPU with a screwdriver.Note tht your pc is shut down than u will c a square with many wires tht is your hard drive. it has a band connected with many coloured wires. tht is your internal hard drive.Note tht u do not mess up with the wires
If the motherboard does not come with built in Sata plugs then you will need a PCI adapter. The only way to know for sure it to check with the manufacture. Most newer ones allow for it.
1. If you don't have a Recovery Disk for your system, then you should contact the manufacturer to supply any additional recovery disk! (http://esupport.sony.com/)
if it came with the restore CD's then thats exactly what they were for. You need them. if you have lost them you can order new ones from the manufacture.
