P 1684 P 700 P 160 all these codes keep coming up

I don't profess to be able to solve this over this keyboard. But push come to shove I would replace the coils that are setting codes. As far as the dealer goes unless they can confirm the problem they will write NPF (no problem found)

If this is the same car with the code 128 check the thermostat. You might want to look at the temp sensor and make sure its full of coolant too.

if its throwing a code for cam sensor but new sensor does not fix it given the fact of recently replacing the timing chain id say it sounds like the timing was not set correctly which is causing the cam sensor to receive abnormal readings throwing the check engine light on. pull cover and check timing mark placement against specifications

check whether you have air sucked by the engine,or stepper motor if is fitted not working or dirty throttle body.

code p 0130 refers to the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) 1 bank 1
code p 0139 refers to HO2S 2 bank 1 the HO2S is the ones in the exhaust manifold or pipe before the cat converter

in order to help you I would need to know what codes are causing the light to come on. If they replaced the gas cap I would assume that there is a large evap leak but the code will tell me this for sure.

You can pull the codes yourself with a code reader that you can purchase for about $50.

You can call you local parts store and see if they can do this for you.

since it has only been a week you can ask the dealer if they can check to see if the same code has returned. If it is the same code than they should be responsible for rechecking there work at no cost to you.

Your mechanic may have forgotten to reset the light. Also if the time for service light is your check engine light a fault code may be stored in the vehicles on board computer. Have the codes pulled to determine if a fault code is present or not. If there are non you can have the light reset, however if there is a fault code and you just reset it the light will keep coming on until the problem is corrected.

Sometimes a bad connection will trigger a code like this, and it wont come back. Other times it will reoccur. Just keep an eye on the light and if it comes back, check the codes to see if it is the same problem that is reoccurring. I have seen this happen many times, and at this point the best thing to do is to wait and see if the light comes back on.

Hi Ramiro, Before going any further you need to gather a little more evidence. Have the computer scanned for stored error codes. From what you describe your issues are intermittent and having the error code would significantly reduce the number of possibilities.

tc52 Every time your check engine light comes on there should be a code. there is no such thing as just a light coming on. there is a reason. if you take your car to a autozone or advance auto parts they will come right out and read it right in front of you and tell you what the code is and what it means when you find this out e-mail for further assistance [email protected]
