Factory alarm will sound when you reconnect battery, have remote handy and press the unlock button when you make the connection

the owners manual should show how to disarm without the remote, you can try turning the drivers door key to the left then the right in the lock and then try to start the vehicle.
if you don't have a manual and the door trick does not work calling the dealer service dept with the year make and VIN should get the answer you need for that specific vehicle

Sounds like (no pun) it is the alarm system going off. After installing the battery try using the key fob to deactivate the system.

How you change horn pad at the strewing wheel

You remove the airbag first ,two screws/allen headed /torx headed screwqs on the back of the steering wheel ,this is a specialised job and dangerous so disconnect the battery first to stop the air bag from going off ,or better still take it to a mechanic

My 2001 toyota Tacoma won't start. I was cleaning

Try putting the key in the driver door lock and turning from lock to unlock. That should dissable the factory alarm system. You may have to do it a few times before it works.

Horn on my sienna goes off while replacing the battery

Hook up cables and lock all doors, first try unlocking drivers door with key. If that does not workstart over and then try unlocking trunk/hatch with key. This usually will work, I highly sugest you use original key if possible.

Trying to install new batery and the minute I put the second cable to battery the horn starts going off How do I stop this. I thought I disconected the horn but it keeps going off

Install the battery by connecting the positive cable first, then the negative. If this does not work,do it vise-versa.connect the negative first, then the positive cable. If this does not work, connect the battery, and then insert the key and start the engine,if horn stops, let it run for about a minute, then turn the ignition off and remove the key.

Horn/lights on 2002 Toyota Tacoma

Rewire your horn from the steering wheel to the horn. Its not difficult, I can't tell you how to take the steering wheel apart but you can get a Haynes Repair Manual. It'll have all you need and more. You can use speaker wire, split it in two. Run one cable from the positive in the battery to the horn switch in the steering wheel. Another from the switch to the horn. You have a short somewhere, to me is easier just to run new wires than to find the short-circuit. Make sure when you run the cables through the firewall you run through a grommet so it does not get damaged by metal. Before anything check your headlight wires that they are not touching the horn.
