Distortion when volume is high - Audiovox Car Audio & Video

Brief research didn't turn up "protection" circuitry that could possibly cause your audio "go away completely" but I will assume that the distortion issue is just because the system is set up incorrectly. In-ear systems can be tricky to adjust as too much volume can distort the tiny "ear-bud" type earphones, and damage your hearing. Check online for your model as I found a manual that specifically addresses safe volume levels at the beginning of the owners manual, followed by operational settings, etc.

sounds like distortion is being caused by trying to amplify a low volume level from the input device. try putting the ipod volume at a medium level and try again to see if the distortion goes away/reduced

Could be a couple of things. Could be the alignment, weighting, tracking or all of those causing this. It could be the gain structure on your mixer is not set and is too high. Maybe that the output of the cartridge is to high for standard mm inputs

Reduce speaking volume by changing the speaking volume
major adjust switch setting. See page 15 in the User's Guide (link below).
• Point microphone towards your chin.
• Listening volume too high on phone. If your phone has a handset
volume control, lower this until the distortion disappears.
• If the distortion is still present, lower the listening volume adjust
button on the headset. If the distortion persists, select another
listening volume major adjust switch setting. See page 14 in User's Guide.
• Base is too close to computer or phone. See page 9 in User's Guide for
proper positioning.

Realize that the number on the volume control is only relative... it means nothing regarding what the amp can produce. With a high level output guitar you can easily drive the amp into distortion at very low volume control level settings... what counts is the actual output sound volume and specifically the voltage output going to the speaker. Once the amp reaches saturation, any further input just pushes it into distortion or "flat topping".
An oscilloscope on the output will quickly show when amp starts to flat top.

Usually a car stereo speakers are high volume out puts and it can damage the sound (distortion) at the time to connect an amplifier so the best way with less distortion is hooking up this device to low the volume and get a clean sound to be amplified

Start by turning the amp volume down, clipping is not from tuning its from too small and amp then turning the volume too high or a very distorted signal, this then causes the amp to produce high levels of distortion which cases damage to amps/speakers. Make sure the sub frequency is around 60-80hz and the volume is no more then 3/4 of the way up. You may also have a bad signal from your radio or bad RCA cables but I would start with the amp gain first...

What do you mean more exactly by "sound like if the computer freeze"? If you set wave or master volume on your PC too high, the sound card or the speakers may get overdriven, which results in distorted sound. So you could try lovering the voume in your PC, and set it higher on the speakers. (On the contary, if you set volume in your PC very low, and very high on the speakers, sound will get noisy.)

check ur mic in volume control its may be on boost mode
