This device is used to connect the speakers out puts to an amplifier.
Usually a car stereo speakers are high volume out puts and it can damage the sound (distortion) at the time to connect an amplifier so the best way with less distortion is hooking up this device to low the volume and get a clean sound to be amplified

Hello herg1076,
Here's a link to
www.modifiedlife.com which will have a page showing the color codes for your vehicle wiring. The 2008 Chrysler 300 rear speakers are shown as follows: Left positive is Dark Green/Tan, Left negative is Dark Green/Gray, Right positive is Dark Green/Brown, and Right negative is Yellow/Green. Other models and other years will be different, so be sure that you browse to the correct color codes for your specific vehicle.
Hope this helps.

Installing an aftermarket head unit into a 1994 Ford Bronco
are you using and after market harness to go from your bronco to the harness to the new radio. if so make sure all the colors are matched up (e.i. purple to purple, purple/black to purple/black). did the speakers work before the aftermarket unit. Also check the wiring at the oem speakers
