I have a 4500 John Deer tractor that typically won't start in cold temperatures (i.e. 39 or below) otherwise it starts promptly. I've pushed the key in to heat the glow plug a minute or more.

The 4500 John Deere tractor sounds like the glow plugs are not working. Checked voltage at the glow plugs to make sure that there is 12 DC volts.(Might have to remove main wire from the glow plugs to check!) If no voltage at glow plugs there maybe a bad fuse, relay or wire connection in the glow plug circuit. If there is 12 DC volts at the glow plugs, it is possible that the glow plugs need to be replaced.

JGSP48SHSS oven

if it gas and the bake isn't working correctly, first thing that usually goes is the ignitor, sometimes the ignitor will glow but won't lite the flame,it works on amps. a flat ignitor takes 3.2 amps to open the gas valve a round one os 2.5 amps.so the easiest way to check it is start the oven,if you can't see the ignitor glowing orange then remove the racks and the floor of the oven so you can see it,when the ignitor starts to glow it should ignite the flame within 40 seconds,if not change out the ignitor,if the ignitor doesn't glow then you need a meter to check it for continuity, disconnect the ignitor wires and check it with a meter, set it on say 20k ohms, touch the leeds to the ignitor wires,if it stays on 1 then the ignitor is bad,if you get any other reading other than 1 then it's good and you have a problem somewhere else but like i said most of the time it will be the ignitor.

Glow plug for diesels

year model? Engine size? I need a little more information than ford won't start when cold. I would guess either the glow plug relay or the actual glow plugs themselves are bad, but usually the glow plug relay, because if it were just one or two glow plugs it would start, but run like ****.

I have a Maytag gas stove model MGR5730BDW. The oven won't light. The broiler works just fine. The bottom ingiter glows orange and gets hot but the burner won't light.

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today.Just because the ignitor glows does not mean its good..switch the two around and see if the oven comes on. They still glow even when they start to go bad.
Thank You and please rate my answer if it was helpful..

For some reason the heater does not generate heat. the fan works but no heat. Any Ideas?

I've got an easy way for you to check, and then we can help you from there.
First pop open both lids to your furnace (this may require a screwdriver). Turn up your thermostat, push the safety interlock button in if it has one (it's a button that turns off the power when the doors are removed), and watch.

On most modern furnaces (past 20-25 years) you'll hear/see:
1. Inducer fan
2. orange glow (ignitor)
3. Gas valve opening and ignition (flames)
4. Main Fan.

that's normal heater operation.
The most common issue here is a burned out ignitor, in which case you wouldn't see the orange glow but the sequence would attempt to continue anyway (the gas valve will open and hiss gas, but it won't lite, then it'll give up and try again a few minutes later).

On older furnaces there's a pilot light to start with, the click of the gas valve and boom... ignition.

On new furnaces it's
Inducer fan
gas valve opening
spark - ignition
Main fan.

and there are some oddballs in between, particularly the Lennox Pulse. If that's your furnace just back away slowly and call a professional... some guys won't even touch those, so be sure to mention what it is... if you call a pro.

So go ahead and watch it run, then tell me/us what you see.

Want to down load pics don't know how

You have to plug in and install your MP3 player on your computer. When you do that, you should get a small window that pops up asking you what you'd like to do; transfer files, open software, etc.

Choose file transfer, find the folder on your player that you'd like to import pictures into and then in another explorer window, find your pictures.

You should be able to drag and drop files from one folder to the other.

Sandisk is not detected in Vista operating system notebook

See the FAQ here - http://www.sansa.com/support/sansa_view/faqs

The most common reason for this problem is not having the latest Windows Media Player installed, or having a Windows OS version that is not supported by the Sansa player.
The Sansa players support Windows XP SP2 and Windows Vista and above. If your operating system version is supported by the Sansa player:
SOLUTION 1 – Download and install the latest Windows Media Player

SOLUTION 2 – If that didn’t help, and you are running Windows Vista, apply the following hotfix - KB940199
SOLUTION 3 – If that didn’t help, download and Install the MTP Porting Kit (click here)
SOLUTION 4 – If that didn’t help, try connecting the device to the PC using MSC mode

View/c200: Turn on & press and hold the rewind button while plugging into the PC

Pleomax problem

Try clicking on the icon in the taskbar and if it's like SanDisk flash drives there is a program you need to install from the Pleomax itself, that enables it and several tools as well. When you see that window, there will more than likely be an eject button as well.
