My royal sovereign is spitting water out of exhaust

royal Sovereign is a make without a maker and are probably made in China, you can try contacting them though. They will say just buy a new one unless you can get them on a warranty replacement.

The external water tray is to be used for draining the unit when the internal water tray is full. Position the external water tray under the drain at the bottom rear of the unit then remove the cap and plug and let water fill the tray. This was copied from royal sovereign instructions.

Either compressor not working or out of refrigerant.

Does the display work or nothing at all?
If nothing at all, check your outlet.
Also, there may be a fuse or circuitbreaker inside the air conditioner that needs to be reset or replaced. Unplug the unit before attempting to find or replace.

If the display works, did you empty the water? Is it upright and level?

I'm not sure what the limitation would be, but it probably has one. Too much length and you will start restricting the air flow across the coil.

see if you can push water from the other end to see if you have something that stuck inside
