Just stopped working. No burning smell. When start button pushed, some kind of tiny "click" sound heard around the timer.

The click is most likely the timer motor moving the dial on the timer. The motor circuit on American dryers is 120 volts whilst the heater requires 240 volts to operate its 5k element. The motor circuit always has the fuse in it. The heating element has limits mounted on it but they only kill power to the element and not the motor. Fuses are usually located on the blower housing next to the control thermostat. MORE HERE

Dryer will not start. when push button is

Most likely the start switch or door switch has failed. Other failures can also cause this symptom: bad timer, broken belt, bad centrifugal switch, bad motor, etc.

The dryer will not start, you can hear timer.

your problem could be : Door switch, Motor, Thermal Fuse, Timer.

I would start with Door switch and Thermal Fuse.

Drier button does not work when push it to start machine

You need to check the dryer door switch. I may be bad. If the timer is clicking it is probably working fine. Also you need to check that the dryer is getting power to the unit. Check your breakers and also pull the unit out and look at the dryer cord. Check the terminals for a short or burnt looking one. Once you have established you have power going to the unit, you can find where the comunication stops within it.

Dryer won't start

Check your door switch and wires to see if they are damaged first. You may have a bad Start Switch. If it is a 2 wire switch you can tape them together and then plug in dryer ,if it starts, replace the Start switch. Please Rate this!

Dryer will not start, timer sounds like it is running

Possibly a door switch, or starting switch near timer assembly. it could also be a bad breaker, dryers have a double breaker, even if you are getting electricity to part of your dryer 1 bad breaker might not let the rest of the dryer work. With electrical experiance, and elect. tools, have some one test breakers and plug voltage.
